Personally I tend to agree that the whole saga has a somewhat girly- fantasy touch that triggers our ( I mean guys') inner, secret, hidden thoughts of "I hate girls, girls are ridiculous" from when we were very young, like 4, or 5 years old. Despite the fact that vampires are poorly implemented in the story, what about the love aspect? I used to hear from a friend, a 20+ year old girl, that twilight (the first movie) depicts the perfect love and that a perfect gentleman like Edward (NOT Robert Pattison) is now nowhere to be found. I'm sure many twilight fans have the same feeling towards him.
Let's also ignore the fact that Edward is ridiculously rich and handsome and is a vampire, then what quality does he posses to be highly regarded by ladies alike? What kind of love is he giving to Bella to be valued as perfect love from a perfect gentleman?
Let's discuss

and let's also try to stay away from talking about vampires, let's just assume that Edward is not a vampire.
