Hello Everybody !
Just read the book "Twin Secrets" at the shrine of Stendarr.
The writer is a really great fellow , but here's something interesting , I'm quoting:

" Dragons are said to be gone from the world. Yet I found one. Sheltered in the smoking ruins of Vvardenfell, I came upon it. My magic proved to be sufficient to defeat the beast. If that gives you cause to wonder, I will not deny that I was once a pyromancer of great skill. "

What do you think about it ?

Reminds me of Bilbo meeting Smaug inside the Lonely Mountain.

I'm pretty sure the book was written before the return of the Dragons , and also he mentions Vvardenfell which probably means even before the eruption.

Yes, there were a few dragons around before Alduin came back, most of them busy hiding.

The Greybeards found one :wink:

The dragons didn't vanish like the Dwemer.

The Blades killed off most of them. Paathurnax went into seclusion. Some went into hiding.

There were few who survived the Dragon War,So it's possible that he saw a dragon in Vvardenfell.
Tiber even had a few pet dragons.

I know that, mine was just a joke/reference to Corpulus Vinius's speech when he talks about his pet skeever.

What about it? Not every dragon was dead before the return, Tiber Septim had a dragon mercenary working for him and Paarthurnax was still alive before the return.
