The Twisted Metal series has been one of my favorite series of all times, and im glad to see that that Sony is making a new one.
I want to know what you guys think of the game, and if you are going to get it or not.

I the E3 Demo i didn't see any of the old time characters, which is a bummer if they are not in the game.
I really dont like the idea of the Heli in the E3 demo.
But the map looked pretty cool, hope they are all like that.

Twisted Metal III FTW!

Uh, it's not announced to appear then. Stores just use this date for games that have a set release year, but no date yet. ^_^

Anyway, I sure want this game to be good. Twisted Metal is an awesome series.

Yeah i LOVE Twisted Metal.

I hope it keeps the darker theme that the most recent Twisted Metal Had. ( well, Black, not head on)

Its been long since I've played any Twisted Metal. I think i still have the original disk for TM4. I also have a digital copy of TM2 on my Ps3. The PS3 game line up is has improved so much since launch.

However, svcks it's on the PS3. Obviously, it would be, but I don't own a PS3. :cryvaultboy:

...This is the name of the game I've been trying to remember for YEARS. This is a huge relief. Man, I remember playing the first one as a kid, this game is amazing! If only I had a PS3... :(

Glad i could help, and yea PS3's are awesome.
If your a PC gamer and want to move to consoles than get PS3 before 360, i have both.
Or even if you have a 360, still.. get a Ps3 lol.

I love Twisted Metal, along side Vigilante 8 as being the best of the best of car combat, and one of my favorite series of all time. Hell, I even twisted a Stewie quote in my sig to show my love for Twisted Metal. I used to play for hours on end with friends, I was so glad when I found out it was finally officially announced.

Now, as long as David Jaffe continues to make badass Twisted Metal games, I'll have no problem buying a PS3 just to play.

I wounder what characters there bringing back?

Im actually getting a little tired of the old character line-up they have been using since the first games.

i mean, i dont mind if they keep some of the classics Like, Sweetooth,Mr.Grim,Yellow Jacket. I really want too see some new characters and vehicles.

Mr.Grim and Roadkill all my all time favorite characters.
Plus the Tank guy, don't remember his name but he was a boss in TM3 i think and you unlock him after you beat him.

I would like to see them bring a lot of the old characters back, but it would be cool to have some new ones too :)

Minion is the tank guy.

Marcus Kane/Roadkill is pretty cool. i cant believe i forgot to mention him.

I never really understood the Sweetooth and Marcus are the same person thing though.

I mean is Marcus a figment of Sweetooths imagination, or the otherway around. or do they have multiple personalitys.

And there has been some hinting that all of Twisted Metal could be In Marcus/Sweetooths head.

Well, lets see, in Twisted Metal 2,
Spoiler
Marcus know its a dream (or in a game manual, the game itself), Calypso acknowledge this, and woke up in a hospital.

And in Black,
Spoiler
its literally all in Sweetooth's mind and Marcus/Minion know this.

Oh, and Mr. Slam is an awesome choice in TW2.

But Marcus may be insane, and mistaking it for a dream.

Aaaah, so i guess that means the darker setting wont be coming back in the next game.

And that could be right as well, (namely with Calypso "appear" during Marcus' touching reunion make that he maybe in a dream within a dream), though I am still seeing that the game is happening in someone's head.

But from here, it seeing that it is now more and more about Marcus/Needles personality split if that what the game keep showing us as the franchise kept going.

Let's all pray and hope this TM doesn't end the series because of it being bad.
Which I really don't see the happening, but just in case.

Even though I would love to play the new Twisted Metal, its not enough for me to go out and buy a PS3.

I had tons of fun playing this game on the PS1 with a buddy of mine. We would link up both our PS1's and battle for hours playing Twisted Metal. I'm going to say somewhere around 2000-2001 we stopped playing it so its been a while for me. I hope this new one reaches the 360. Will it be only on the PS?
