Quit feeding the trolls. They live for this sh%!, they represent the community mentality they so easily conform and adapt to, and they spit off rhetoric and propaganda they read elsewhere. Their opinions fit their surroundings, and half the time they won't even read what you wrote. If most people don't like you, you are probably doing something right. However, this thread was the opposite of picking battles. You probably shouldn't post something you don't give a damn about just to stir people up, but people got to get their kicks somehow. You provoking morons, morons being morons, semi-deep people having to show morons how deep they can be.

i think i might have one part of the answer in my case.

My moral bondaries stop when it become gratuitous and nonsensical. I mean, i love following a story, even dark and twisted ones. It only become unhealthy when it stop having a sense. (its harder to give clear exemple since english is not my primary language).

For exemple Watching torture scenes on internet vs watching a torture scene in a movie or in a game. The one coming from the internet is just there to satisfy the dark instinct of some ill people compared to the one in the game where the story is well crafted and serve to bring you close to the flame, make you live emotions you wouldnt live in real life.

For exemple game that show briasts. Where i live, women are covered (swimsuit) even at the beach (i think in europe you can be topless) . So socially , if a woman is topless in the street or at the beach, people will get offended. In certain game you come across topless model (like thief or saint row) where they serve no purpose at all, just gratuitous nudity compared to what you see in Witcher 2 intro which make the woman desirable and add to the story (hinting at they slept together).

I could list many exemple from postal 2 (which i did love anyway ) or many real life or badly made movie.

My bondaries stop when it start to be gratuitous/nonsensical

I thought it was pretty clear from the start that this was merely a lightweight philosophical experiment...

Haha. Funny how you mention 'nynorsk'. We have two written 'dialects' of sorts over here. Nynorsk beeing the less prevalent. Still a beautiful "language". Bokm?l beeing the main.

I didnt design Oblivion without children, or make them immortal in Skyrim.

It's not my opinion, I couldn't care less about children, if I did I would be a nicer person to other posters here.

If there would be multiple choice possibility this would be single player game.

That is the reason I enjoy this thread.

People get mad pretty fast lol

I think that there are situations that government, society and whatnot do not want us to grow used to, and that's understandable.

I like that the game gives us some degree of choice. I mean, there were many quests that had options that would get an npc killed. That allowed my characters to be true to their personalities (my Altmer being forgiving, unlike my Dunmer, for example).

What else is prohibited in fiction exactly?

Nothing.

PS. Any fiction depicting such acts against children can be construed as child pormography, and can earn you a visit to prison in most countries.

What other types of fiction get you in jail?

I am hurt! What makes you think I am an outsider here?

lol.. I really am. I just wish I could play eso, and surfing these forums is the closest I can come to it at the moment, I have actually gotten quite a bit of useful information from you people.. and it beats the hell out of hours upon hours of differential calculus. This might surprise you but you aren't the first to call me judgemental.

I'l be frank. You're scaring me a little. I suspect that perhaps fantasy and fiction are not for you.

I enjoy fantasy. I enjoy horror. I enjoy thrillers. However, I have never had the urge to hack people to bits with chainsaws, open up my own meth lab, assassinate someone, etc. If you are having trouble deciding where the line between fantasy and reality is drawn, might I suggest you remove yourself from things that can negatively affect how you act and react in the real world.

i dont mind violence against children in video games and here is why.

If you dont want violence against them, dont put them there. Making them invulnerable only break the immersion.

Im a not one usually to go about killing children.. nor anyone in particular (im more like a white knight).

Lets take exemple (since its the only way im able to convey my point by the lack of understanding of certain english words)

1- Baldur Gate: I throw a fireball to kill thugs harassing me in town. I wipe the thugs and everyone around (oops!) but only one child is left standing and hes laughing, having a great day. I still remember it today as it broke my will to play the game at the moment, it threw me off balance. I didnt want the child or any innocent bystanders to die but having the child staying alive like that was the complete opposite, it was frustrating and broke my day.

2- Fallout 3 : Usually when someone need help, either a child (which im usually more sympatethic to) or an advlt, i usually help out. But my first true case of "i want to murder a child" happened in that game, in little lamplight. These are the most irrespectful little piece of lamb i ever encountered. I hate when people lack respect toward me in video game. If a guard in skyrim say "let me guess, someone stole your sweeeeetroll", i just bash his face in. Now you had really really annoying brats and you make them invulnerable? I mean, i got mini nuke, i could destroy the wooden gate to pass. To complete the game, you need to cooperate with them when they are being as*holes? This is the first time i really wanted to cause grief to a child.

The moral of the story, never make something invulnerable, not even a child. If you dont want child murdering, dont put them in the game.

I dont have to accept anything son, you hate homeless people and I see them as human beings. That's what I see.

You also have a grudge against America which I find small and petty. You need to grow some manners.

Sure, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Except perhaps. For your homeless. Provide some institutions instead of the street.

In a normal stable person's mind, they should not merge. It's pretty damn easy to tell fantasy from reality. Quite simply this is a video game, that alone is enough for me to say that they do not merge.
