Ha! I'm hoping that everyone knows WHO Buffy is. I'm guessing he was asking is simply "What the hell does Buffy-ed even mean?". Is he saying that a hot blonde teenager should be killing all vampires, except for the brooding sixy ones? I have no idea, and I doubt anyone else does.

I am ok with everything in this game so far, including cannibalism because it is part of the lore. I really don't think I am overly sensitive.

But the latest TWD episode was too much for me. And I read the comics. I knew it was going to happen one way or another.

Also, I think that quests like the one that the OP presented should have an alternative way of completing it. Like, I don't know, killing the witch instead. I don't know which quest the OP is talking about, so if there is an alternative way of completing it, let me know.

Unfortunately people get attacked here on the forum far too often for their opinions and beliefs, simply because other people don't agree with them or find them absurd.

Also, there is alt route to take with that quest -- do the brothers way instead. Two groups of mages have two different goals, the player must chose what quest path to take there.

Well I think you may be slighly over sensitive, but this is essentially what role-playing is about. Was there an option to refuse? If there wasn't, perhaps they should add one, and then the quest is marked as completed, but grants next to no xp.

LOLed. Really?

You could refused the quest if it dont match your moral standarts. You have choice to do that or not to do.

Since I completed the kill 20 players quest about a hundred times... Wow what you must think of me since you only had to kill a few people too dumb to taste the poison a stranger have them.

Well, to be fair... absurd beliefs deserve to be attacked. (Absurd, as opposed to "I disagree")

Also the quest in Mournhold with the argonians wanting to kill of a dunmer girl whose parents enslaved them. Just wrong! :/ She had nothing to do with it.

Thankfully you can turn on them. :D

Its funny because I was just watching the show "Vikings". Have you ever watched? There is very interessant situations where two cultures see each other as "absurds".

Absurd is what society made you believe that is absurd. There is no "naturally absurd" (except for incisto, anthropology states that its the very common characterisc between societies world wide, even in pre-history).

Altho the quest choices may 'feel' twisted, you are killing living things right from the start of the game....constantly, with big weapons, and lightning. That's twisted.

Perhaps you could join the Daggerfall Covenant instead? EP has the quest you've shown concern about, AD has Bosmer and therefore the potential for cannibalism, but I didn't find any quests with that kind of stuff in DC. If these themes are an issue for you, then that might be one option to consider (especially with the play any race in any alliance bonus).

No.

In this case, like I said before.... "absurd" is having no problem killing droves of bad guys with a sword, but having butthurt over doing it with poison

(and...how do we even know the "bad guys" are bad? Where's the soul searching over that issue?)

Not to mention this is seriously one of the most benign things to get worked up over when the big bad has a title that is literally the King of [censored], one he wholeheartedly deserves according to lore...

DC has more than it's fair share of morally questionable content. The starter island alone has you performing some very questionable acts.

Really... I am rather happy I started the thread.

Seems I hit bullseye... as the the many opininated responses seem to indicate.

It also indicates a decisive defense mechanism in those who commented for

I needled you where it hurt.

Maybe there is still hope for me and you.

Where do fantasy and reality merge?

Do I have an answer? No, I do not.

Do you have an answer maybe?

I haven't seen anything in ESO yet to rival the Dark Brotherhood questline in Skyrim for 'did they really just go there?'-ness.

I guess they merge where people want them to. The lines are blurred though, there's no real answer to something like this.

For me, I can see beauty in fiction, I can also be horrified and disgusted; and that's the beauty of it. I guess what's important is to remind yourself that non of this is real; it's simply there to stimulate your imagination and allow you to experience something more interesting than your every day life.

A good example of blurred lines would be some peoples hatred for the actor that plays Joffrey Baratheon in Game of Thrones; he's not really that sadistic in real life everyone! ..I hope.

The Needs of the Many outweigh the Needs of the Few.

Also, I used to see similar threads on the SWTOR boards, they usually popped up after someone discovered they could go have an 'advlt encounter' with some of the locals.

If it bothers your sense of morality, just remind yourself it isn't real.

I really liked that quest. The apprentices knew it was poison and willingly went along with it. I find the argonians' connection to the land very touching and Reesa was one of my favorite characters. There's also another quest where an argonian sacrifices herself to save a coral. It's their culture, and it adds depth to the world.

Correct me if I am wrong, I ran this by a devout (see: insane) ES lore friend of mine:

The only way to become a 100% pure blooded vampire is to be [censored](sixually assaulted) by Molag Bal?

Also, what is this lore book about?

This is a 'M' rated game, and I am glad for that.
