They seem new. Though I can't say whether it's new to people with the GI mag.

Pic 2 looks like he has a horse loaded up with stuff - hope that makes it in! That first pic looks amazing too - very imposing.

I love how the Morrowind artwork is more star wars-influensed. After the lotr movies all fantasy changed a bit in that direction.

This is very true. Personally, I don't mind it one bit.

Looks nice, though that second pic reminds me of the steppe riders capital from lotr. :glare:

LOTR is definately a very well done series. With all sorts of detail and imagery. It set the bar for all fantasy themes to come after it. Without the LOTR books we wouldnt have TES.

I'm glad someone else picked up on the pack horse in the picture. I like how he is walking with it. I wonder if you can choose to have a horse to ride, or a pack horse that you have to walk with. That would make an interesting choice for players.

Nice concept art. I like it.

I seriously hope for that too.

Horses are much more than fast rides; they help pack gear and provide tactical combat superiority. I really hope the developers give some attention to horses (just look at the number of mods trying to improve them for oblivion!)

Since there may be professions and crafting (lumberjack cutting wood in the trailer) - I seriously hope for work horses, saddles with packs and mounted combat!

The first was in PS3 UK mag but never seen the second but it is a carbon copy of edoras from Lord Of the Rings , which I have no problem with tbh.

haha, I'd have to say though that in real life history, it would only be natural for a culture to build in a defensible place. I don't mind the similarities. :)

I admit, that was the first thing that crossed my mind when I saw the art  The architecture (we already saw it on the trailer right? the city I mean), the plains... etc

However, I love LOTR, so no sweat. As long as they manage to give it a distinctive feel.

Oh, and the first art looks amazing, like some kind of ancient tomb ruin or something...

Has it already been confirmed or is just no one pointing out that the 2nd one is Whiterun.

It is really, REALLY exciting the way they are using the third dimension in Skyrim, as one of my complaints about Oblivion was ignoring the third dimension.

Here you see a lot of towns and cities on the hill-side with houses and buildings above others, and lots of stairs and so on...

Those two concept arts are the proof, that they have decided to use the third dimension a lot, in this game, which is great.
