Two Pistols

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 10:42 pm

Is it possible to equip two of the same type of weapon as primary and secondary?

As a Heavy: 2 Medium Type Weapons, As a Medium: 2 Light Type Weapons, As a Light: I don't know why you would want to use two pistols.

You can have a pistol as a primary and secondary but I think they have to be two different pistols. Don't qoute me on this though since it is only speculation.

Don't think so.

If I'm better with a pistol than I am with an SMG why wouldn't I want to use two pistols? Pistols don't have the RoF of an SMG, but may benefit those with good aim over an SMG.

Because that is stupid doesn't make sense. Pistols are side arms, and are likely not to offer stats anywhere as good as an actual rifle or smg. They are likely to have less ammo and will have less customization as well.

I am inclined to believe it is possible, but as previously stated, unwise.

Unless, of course, you're playing for the challenge of it. Still, there would be a high probability of your getting incap'd before your AR-totin' opponent.

Incorrect!

Sidearms have four attachment slots, just like all of the other guns. Well, perhaps not the minigun. Still...

Despite being sidearms, they appear to have stats that are overall even with the other weapons. A little low in the power department, but amazing equip speed and reload speed.

Or you could just not hold down the trigger of your smg..

Go for it, then. I have no problem with it, I just don't see why anyone would want to run around with pistols only. But if thats your playstyle, thats your playstyle.

Well Hatter, I do agree with Drop Dead "But if thats your playstyle, thats your playstyle."

I just don't think using two pistols is feasible in a complete civil war.

What doesn't make sense about it? If a player is better with something then it makes sense to use it instead of something else. Unles you mean that it doesn't make sense to be better with a pistol than an SMG, but the stats and differences between the two make them better for different situations.

The idea behind weapons with low RoF is that you don't need a high RoF to get the job done because you can hit with the first few shots.

Don't really see the need for the animosity here. What truly counts is how someone assists the team, yeah? Maybe a pistol totting ally isn't looking to do too much shooting and is instead looking to assist more in team buffs and support fire. Makes sense.

Or he can do that and have more firepower and help his team MORE by helping them in a fight along with buffing and such. Makes sense.

More firepower doesn't mean better. I would rather have a guy who can hit with a pistol than a guy with a minigun who can't hit [censored].

How do you miss with a minigun.... I mean not to troll, but that seems a little hard.

The logic is that, in using a pistol, he/she won't get distracted from providing buffs because his/her gun isn't big enough to go Rambo. It's a way of policing one's self. I can see why someone would want to play this way.

I don't, but a big reason players go for more bullets over stronger bullets is because they can't hit.

As a light my options are SMG, LR, MP, or Pistol. If more bullets was better then there would be no use for a regular pistol when I could take a machine pistol.

If the bullet damage from a pistol is the same or better than an SMG/MP then I don't need an SMG/MP unless I can't hit with the pistol. Don't get me wrong, automatic weapons obviously have their place, but it doesn't make them better weapons than pistols. It's all about the situation and the shootist.

I don't understand.

So your saying that people will be distracted by having a rifle or something over having two pistols. I find that odd, at least nothing like that will happen to me, i think....

Seriously you will be able to switch guns in a flash. I can see knife people doing this since then will always have access to the knife.

Machine pistol and revolver.

PS we don't know either way.
