Two questions to Crytek.

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 1:39 pm

1. Can you *PLEASE* add Tessellation into Multiplayer? It's fantastic it's in at all, but because the majority of the player's time will be in the multi-player, I believe it's incredibly important to have it included into the multi-player component, as Tessellation is a major feature of DX11.

2. Look into re-enabling texture mods etc (Look at Crysis 1). While I'm glad you guys created a "High resolution texture pack" of your own, I've come across someone elses texture mod, which I believe is actually looking better than yours (no offence). Unfortunately, it can only be used in v1.1, because you disabled mod functionality in later verions. Can you either collaborate with this guy, as he is clearly talented, and implement it into the game with DX11 functionality, or just look into a way of allowing his mod to work officially from a patch.

His blog is here: http://maldotex.blogspot.com/2011/06/first-version.html (Take a look at those screenshot comparisons, truly amazing)

Thanks, I hope you guys read this.

About point 2- hey, guess what, the mod tools are going to be released! (on Wednesday apparently) There's already a "mods" button in the main menu. Hopefully MaLDo can convert his mod to the C2 Mod tools! Great news!

Also MaLDo's mod is much smaller and better looking than Crytek's :D

Sounds good, but from what I've read, it's just the map editor, not an entire mod tool suite.

Alright, seems like it's more than just a map maker. Still, Crytek... Please answer my on tessellation in multiplayer. I understand the argument that 'you wouldn't really be admiring a wall in multiplayer, due to the fast paced action' but please, if the option is already there in singleplayer, why is the option not there in multi?

Is there a way I can PM a crytek staff member directly, maybe I'd get a response.
