Two questions, semi-related.

1. Has it been comfirmed what happened to Vehk(aka vivec)? In oblivion they mention he MIGHT have been taken by the daedra, but I thought he had achieved CHIM at that point.

2. Is it possible the dwemer race vanished to due everyone attemping to achieve CHIM at the same time, but instead zero summing due to their reliance on Reason and Logic?

1: In the forum RP The Trial (which several developers took place in), Vivec vanished after extracting revenge on Azura by binding her with her 'nymics. The Loveletter from the 5th Era states that Twice-Vehk appeared from the Aether, so I guess he's chilling in Aetherius until he returns.
2: Dwemer became Numidium, which to me seems like brute-forcing of CHIM, trying to reach the Godhead not through realizing the nature of reality but by forcing the subgradients to the Godhead's level. So perhaps?

1. Thank you. I guess he's in the dreaming state of gods now.
2. And when you put it that way, my theory seems to fit the evidence even more. They tried to understand CHIM without knowing it is what I get from most of the information on the dwemer attempts at meta-physics.

2. I don't think so. Eyesore says that the Dwemer became Numidium's golden (fore)skin, but that doesn't have anything (directly) to do with CHIM or Godhead. Consider this quote from Baladas Demnevanni,

"It was unfashionable among the Dwemer to view their spirits as synthetic constructs three, four, or forty creational gradients below the divine. During the Dawn Era they researched the death of the Earth Bones, what we call now the laws of nature, dissecting the process of the sacred willing itself into the profane. I believe their mechanists and tonal architects discovered systematic regression techniques to perform the reverse -- that is, to create the sacred from the deaths of the profane."

The Dwemer 'anti-created' themselves back to a higher subgradient, to a grander et'Ada form, not to Godhead. Godhead would have been the ultimate goal, I guess, but that was not realized.
