Well I have been waiting over a year for it so my excitement is the same since I have been reading tons of information while waiting for the release. It is going to be nice to finally get my character created though

When I first heard about it in passing, I was like 'meh' and didn't pay much attention (TF2 being too awesome at the time).

Now, I'm like "HNNGH RELEASE IT ALREADY"! :celebration:

I find it funny, because just 5 days ago, I wasn't all that excited about it.
But the closer we get, the more I can't stand the mornings waking up without my love.

But won't that make Battlefield 3 feel like its gonna take forever? Or are you gonna focus on another game at that time? Personally, I would choose to think about the next Elder Scrolls game after Skyrim, that'll help pass the time.

Yeah I'm more excited about it then when I first heard about it.
First time I heard about it was a long time ago. Like before Skate 3 was released. I used this as a benchmark because I remember when I first heard of it I saw the ad box in gamestop (you know, the box with no disk and not even the game cover. Just a really generic-ass advertisment for the game) next to the ad box for Skate 3. When I saw Bethesda Softworks on the box I asked to store clerk if he knew anything about the next Elder Scrolls game. Then I didn't even think about it again until..hm...I think until I kept getting on the Bethesda homepage looking for Skyrim info, and every time I saw the Brink picture I'd think "That dude looks like a hardass, and Brink sounds vaguely familiar.."
Then I finally investigated, read up on the features and what have you of the game, and then signed up on the forums and then I was here =P

I didn't really get excited about BRINK until just a few weeks ago, when I awoke to three dwarves, each sporting the world's largest beard and an even larger barrel of ale.
They had awoken me from a cryostatis chamber, which - as they explained - was sent through a time rift from the year 2235. I was the herald of the Rath invasion, to warn humanity about depleting the earth's natural resources.
As I searched deep inside me for answers, I had a vision - a memory - of humanites exploits to claim more and more Cannotgetium to further fuel the works of the greater brother, Hewhocannotbenamedevenifyoutried. When Hewhocannotbenamedevenifyoutried sent advance scouts to the starship Eros, mistaking it for a planet rich with Cannotgetium, the Rath retaliated and destroyed the entirety of earth. I was sent back as a warning.
However, the UN doesn't care about some kid who's seen the future, so I'm waiting for them to realize I was right, but by then it would have been to late - the hugner for Cannotgetium will have taken root and humanity would be doomed yet again.

I'm just passing the time by waiting for BRINK.

If i'm honest i've only just found out about Brink.. I'm mega hyped though, online gaming has become extremely boring with every new game just recycling each others ides. Hopefully Brink will re light my fire ;D

I can't wait for loads of new members to show up on the forum none of whom know the rules or care about them so I can patiently and systematically message, warn, and quote rules to them. You all are going to help me right???? And you will all be super kind and patient welcomers right?

Because if you all help out enough, I may get to play a bit. :twirl:

I've already waited roughly two whole years, and in that time I've reached a sort of Brink nirvana. A peace of mind where nothing can really raise or lower my anticipation for this game. I am happy that my long wait is almost over though.

Not really, since I know that it's coming out during Fall, which is a long long time from now.

Lol I'm not too old on the forums myself. Well..a couple months..but then again a couple months irl is a few years on the internet.
Point is I'm not much of a greeter so I think I'll be staying off the forums that day, and instead be busy playing Brink religiously.
I'll get on the next day though, and enjoy the influx of noobs =D
