That's true for mods that add higher resolution textures or higher poly models, but mods that add content like new weapons, armor, crafting recipes, quests etc could all potentially be ported to consoles so long as the resources they use are in line with the vanilla game in terms of model complexity, texture resolution, voice file bitrate, etc.
Anyone who believes what you just said should feel a little silly, since DLC for Bethesda games work the same way mods do and those run fine on consoles.
Good point, I should clarify I was referring to the mods that really add to the complexity, bigger battles, leveled lists, food/hunger, more mObs, advanced Ai ect.. Ive never used any of the texture packs it's all about gameplay for me.
Agreed that many mods could work on consoles, but the amount of problems that can crop up from modding are vast and veried, and most console users are used to things that just work and don't require trouble shooting or effort of anykind.
