Tytanis is god.

So he's turning the game into World of Warcraft. No thanks.

I remember looking at his mod a few times and I had this exact same sentiment. It has such a "WoW Private Server" feel to it, which was really shocking to me because I'd never run into that feeling with any other mod I've looked at for Skyrim.

But I also agree with stuff others have said. It feels like some large changes have been made to the game or things have been added just for the heck of it. Like that accessory that reduces time between shouts by 100%. And as previously used in an example, the "Holy Gold Deadric" armor set. It's so... (in my own personal opinion) whack. :sadvaultboy:

But this may just be because I'm a stickler for detail and explanations. *shrug*

Tytanis is a mess. There's no way anything like that is going in my game unless it is made modular. There are certain things that look neat, but things like holy daedric armor is p. lol and breaks the deal for me 100 times over.

Couldn't agree more. I find it hilarious when people say it's "Brilliant" and "Excellent".
Oh, and those mounts....

His mod page at the nexus has many more laughable examples.

I won't even bother to go through those mounts.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Examples number 1: Furniture crafting and placement
More custom spells/crafts/weapons/armors
More skill trees and perks
New custom animations
New interactive and world effecting decisions

How are these ridiculous or lore breaking? Please indulge in your explanation, explain, convince me. Can you even? I doubt it. If you look at it, everything here just adds more flexibility to the game play and a more free-realistic theme. There is absolutely nothing Lore breaking about this. The meaning of Lore is: 1. Accumulated facts, traditions, or beliefs about a particular subject.
2. Knowledge acquired through education or experience.
3. Archaic Material taught or learned.

And to break obviously means to destroy, or to go against: None of the above alter such lore to the elder-scrolls game. I mean really. It may not be perfect, but the mod is in such an early state that it is quite reasonable and rather expected to be buggy at times.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Houses - Two are already built, third one is a castle with quests.
Population - Hundreds of new NPCs, some with quests. - 5% completed
Mounts - Elk, Dragon
New menu styles with more features - 15% completed
Nexus Mod Manager Contributions
Full character XML dumping/tracking

And these are definitely not Lore breaking! Adding new houses? Or new NPCs? Lore does not specify all NPCs. Lore does specify all locations! Lore does specify all quests! Unless you tell me of a convincing loop-hole, then do not bother slandering or insulting this modder's work.

If this mod isn't for your taste, just move on! I mean seriously. Why insult and slander, degrade the work, and belittle? You trying to make it seem like it's the most horrid thing out there and take others with you on that course. Frankly, it's cruel, rude, selfish, and well being a downright dike. So enough, I implore.

Always amuses me when lore junkies have a go at non-lore mods like the author has just rammed it down their throats and forced them to use it.

As for this one I won't be using it but I applaud what he's done even without the CK out yet. The elemental arrows sounds good though (another thing Beth in it's infinite wisdom saw fit to remove) but I'm sure there will be a seperate mod for this.

It's not having a go at it, it's voicing our opinion. That's obviously what this thread is about; "Tytanis is god" as a thread title in itself is a voiced opinion. *shrug*

But I do applaud all that he's gotten (even slightly?) working with the limited resources he's had so far.

Lol this. There's no reason to even post if your opinion is negative. Just don't download it. This community has gotten a bit obnoxious and it's no wonder they've a tendency of chasing modders away.

Agreed for the most part. Though I would add that if you have a negative opinion but you have a very specific way that they could change it to a positive opinion, it might not be a bad idea to post. Constructive criticism and all that. :)

If he made it modular, it could be excellent. The elemental arrows is an excellent idea. Much of the rest is junk, imo. If I could pick and choose a couple portions, it'd be great and I'd certainly endorse. As it is, I'm not even going to touch it.

Take a look at my own mod in my sig for an example; I've made sure everything can be split up as much as possible for people to pick and choose what they'd like. :)

Agreed on the modular option. I wanna choose what I use, not being forced to use anything. Most of the stuff he introduces is unnecessary, overelaborated and probably the whole mod is prone to bugs and tons of crashes.

Quality over Quantity.

And the reason why you think you know anything about the community, is? It's his right to post whatever the [censored] he wants as long as he doesn't break the board rules. Don't like it, don't read it, or die by eye-cancer...;)

I do wish this mod was modular too. It's one great big random mod with random features and unfortunately a little too unpolished for my tastes, but pretty impressive w.i.p so far. Hopefully in the future he'll offer to split the different features into seperate mods.

Wow, having ready the notes on http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1601, I'm a little overwhelmed.

I like a lot of what was done with crafting. Specifically, I like the arrows and ability to melt down items.

However, there appears to be some really unbalanced stuff as well. The rings of power, for example. Also this:

"Warmaster (Two-handed) will now grant you the ability to DUAL WIELD TWO-HANDED WEAPONS. You may hold a Greatsword with another Greatsword together or mix it up! You can also just hold one two-hander and use the other hand freely."

That's too much.

For this and people similar, hunt around the nexus and you'll find mods that do the parts you want. I haven't looked at Tytanis' mod, but can almost guarantee the item melting is from Val's crafting meltdown (I love this mod), and the arrows from any number of other crafting mods, I think the one I'm using that does it is lost art of the blacksmith, but that also makes a lot of other things craftable so may be too much for some (but only items in the vanilla game, so doesn't do elemental arrows).
