Ugh - Dragon and Lo Pan quest bugged

Hi. I've been trying to do the quest with Dragon in San Francisco where you train with him and then test your skills.
I read in Per Jorner's guide that the reason you get an extra turn after the opponent is knocked out was so that you could save your game... anyway, I tried that, but always when I got to Rube, it would crash. Then, when I reloaded, and clicked "end turn" it would instantly say with overlapping test "YOUWIN!NEXTOPPONENT!" and I would be fighting Ziggy (the last guy).

Anyway, I decided to just go with it and I beat Ziggy and got the 8k. So then I talk to the dragon, and say I'll fight Lo Pan. So I go over and fight Lo Pan in the ring and win. The Dragon is totally gone. Nowhere on the map!

So I decided it must have been the glitchy win.

So I've been trying to go through without saving. It almost worked last time, but I was stuck on Rube (without it crashing), anyway, I failed... This time I got to Rube and was doing fine when it crashed again.

This is really frustrating, I've looked through guides, googled stuff but this quest just seems really glitchy.

Thanks for any help. I'll check back tommorow. I'm done for the night.

PS: For some reason San Fran feels kinda empty and lonely.
