I cant choose resistance or security. i dont like that resistance is all beat up and stuff. and i'm not sure about security. can someone tell me about the + and minuses of both of them?

As the above post says, the differences are merely aesthetic, so every gun, melee, class, etc is exactly the same between the two factions beside the looks. The Security is more crisp, clean, kind of like a private security force (as that's what they started out as), but the Resistance see them as oppressive dictators. I'm assuming that's not going to be enough, so I'll delve into the backstory a little:

The Security:
The Security started out as the private security force of the Ark, which was a 5 star resort. After the world flooded, the Resistance flocked to the Ark to find shelter and keep above the rising tide. Now that the Ark is overpopulated, the Security has to maintain order, dispense rations equally, and generally act as a full police force, even though they are not equipped well enough or manned well enough to control a major threat. When the Resistance began, the Security hoped the conflict would end quickly, and are trying to keep the Rebellion out of the private sector of the Ark.

The Resistance:
The Resistance are the refugees that flocked to the Ark after the flooding. They live in decrepit ghettos on the fringes of the Ark, and are forced to do demanding, often life threatening, and hazardous work in order to make a living. One such place where they live and work is a run down ship yard, nicknamed "Container City." The Resistance is fighting because they believe the the Security are trying to oppress them, and aren't giving fair rations. They are sometimes overly violent.


I personally will be going with the Security for a number of reasons, but I won't influence your choice

Simple choice: do you want teh under dogs or the over achievers?

SECURITY!! HOOAH HOOAH HOOAH!

It's not necessarily that simple, the Security is undermanned and under supplied to take out a large threat, so both sides are the underdogs situationally

Why not be Devils advocate and like both? Reistance lovers won't make you choose unlike the Security lover above me.

play both, you'll either find one you like or enjoy playing both and become a merc.

Play both, like me.

... but secretly love Security.

I prefer the look of resistance. I go where the gas masks are. Security doesn't look very interesting to me :/

I only like Resistance because I think they have better customization choices instead of the clean cut kind of orderly Security things.

Thought most of the other KEQ guys would be jumping onto KZ3 or S4. Burntastic and cqc-guy are here on these forums, but that's about it...

You can play both with ease. Every character has a look for both sides. Like others pointed out already that the only difference is aesthetics/ideology.
Your side only determines if you're on the attacking or defending side on map X.

Pretty sure that when you make your character you customize him for both resistance and security. There are gonna be times when you have to play as one or the other when you're online. On that note, I'm running through the campaign on resistance first. :wink_smile:
