Ladies and gentlemen, the polls are open, now vote.
What should females in a fantasy game look like?'

As a female gamer, I'd say:

Set 1: First Pic (the second pic would be my choice if she wasn't touching herself... though that is just because I prefer the art style, not the clothing >.>)
Set 2: First Pic
Set 3: First Pic

Obviously from the options, you are going for "fully clothed, or scantily clad" my vote generally speaking is fully clothed, but the fully armoured woman in the first choice is just creepy looking >.> (and the second option is obviously touching herself... so it was really a toss up).

Women can be beautiful without being six objects, I like to be able to play a strong warrior woman and have armor that fits that role (I don't want belly shirts for armour!). But I want to be able to have my warrior woman have a beautiful face, and be shapely if I desire (and on the opposite side, I want to be able to make a muscle bound scared woman as well). Aion sixifies their women to the extreme, I don't really want that... sure it can be an option for the six deprived youths that need it, w/e I don't really care, as long as I have the option to make a realistic woman character as well (who can be beautiful, or not, at my discretion).

I just want to point out that the female Chr. in this game and all the other elder scrolls and fallout games they do a horrible job at the female Chr looks. Let me know if you agree.

Sorry man but I disagree. My female Redguard and female Nord are the best looking females i've ever created in any rpg I've played. And I've played a few.

Compared to Oblivion all the females in Skyrim look like super models.
Seriously though, how good your character looks is up to you and how much patience you're willing to put into their creation. I happen to really like both of the characters I've made thus far, but I also realize that what I find attractive might not fit with someone else's idea of beauty.

I don't think the NPCs are beautiful in this game, but they shouldn't be in the first place. It just doesn't make sense. And this is coming from someone who like japanese style more than western. It all depends on the setting. Although I had a hard time finding someone to marry because I don't find many of them attractive.

I think the female characters here look pretty decent. Especially redguard and nord females. :)
It's good they don't make them look too pretty, the tougher they look the better, they're suppose to be heroes/fighters after all!

They look fine. Does TC want all the ladies of this game to be superhot models in scantly clad dresses?

I also agree with Cerenitee. I have not tried creating a female yet( still on first playthrough, lag holding me back) but I can't believe some gamers would want to make some female warrior who wears no or barely any clothes, yet slays dragons and barely gets a scratch. Look at Fallout for example. Many Of those mods make me shake my head.

When I do make a female for a later playthrough, im thinking a hunter and explorer. Not a six object.

i like how women, and all npc's look like in skyrim : realistic, they live in a hard place and it shows.

I also find relatively easy to make a nice looking women character..... but not with any of the 'mer : all the altmer, bosmer or dunmer women I have tried just look bad in the end, something with the general shape of their head and their eyes colors that puzzle me.

I picked Uno for most of them. I kind of like my women to look attractive -and- badass, not half naked and about as strong as a butterfly.

I like the real-woman look of the females in this game. There are other games that can cater to the perfect fantasy girl stereotypes.

I like having realistic faces on people. Its boring to see teenage anime chicks with huge boobs in every game.

If I was in a war I would want a relatively strong, grizzled, and plain looking woman behind me instead of a porm star. If I hand her a polearm she needs to know how to use it and not how to work it.

They say that life is short and hard in Skyrim. I don't imagine a "pretty" girl would last long. I think the women in Skyrim look pretty decent overall if you play with the sliders enough. I have no issue with the realistic look to them.

Great, another thread about specific tastes. Skyrim is a game set in a specific place, with character art that actually reflects the rough environment and hard times, not some generic fantasy RPG where every where is candy land. Thanks Bethesda for giving us realistic dirty ugly women and a few hotties sprinkled in there. It's perfect!

Very true...and if I do say so myself...This is one of the few fantasy games where the males fair better than the females. Rugged, well built, handsome, slightly hairy (even the elves), and with voice actors that could melt butter on cold toast....

*swoon*

Every woman in the game looking and sounding like a pre-teen girl in a skirted schoolgirl outfit doesn't appeal to me. I like Scandinavian women, scars, tattoos and piercings so... I'm fine with this.

I actually wish we still had the character creation system from Oblivion, just a bit more modern.

Bethesda has made it quite hard to fashion a character when there's quite a few things you can't change, like wrinkles and dirt come with a minimum.

It's also quite hard to make faces that aren't pinched, with sharp bones and pursed mouths.

I think there are some attractive NPCs, though, it's just that the general population have become more drawn and weatherbeaten.

And the characters in Daggerfall looked quite attractive, in my opinion, to the point where it looked like the sprites had been compied from modern fashion magazines.

Maybe you just need to spend more time making the face. I've seen people make some pretty damn good characters.

I took two hours making an amazing looking Bosmer

Dos, Dos, Uno. The others look weird or just a bit plain.

Give them a bit more clothing, though, Skyrim is cold.

I just want to be able to fix some of the things on the face. I'm not asking for beach babes and super models. But I want to make a woman who doesn't look old. I tried making a decent late 20 ish Breton woman. But couldn't because all the Breton woman have wrinkles on their forehead.

I just want a few extra options in the customization. Like fixing the wrinkles on their forehead, an age slider, and a hair length slider. With a customizable hair color option...I like adding a little blue in the black or a little blond in the brown, etc.

I'm tired of people saying what people want are flawless beach babe or flawless super model teenagers. You can have a realistic woman that is attractive and her not be anime or teenager or even flawless.
