Okay well for one I got the collector's edition for my birthday in order to annoy a guy at my work haha.
Well not just because of that because that would make me an idiot tbh.
anyways big fan of the last game. ONLY 1 glitch which was I ran through a house like literally without opening the door
I thought my drink had been spiked haha

anyways with this one which I just got today I had no problem
phew thought I would only experience the odd problem
nu-uh some time goes by with me trying to be a rebel < hard considering I somewhow miss all settlements apart form when signs indicate them :/
ANYWAYS enough with that
I go somewhere FREEZE okay that's fine load it again *I thankfully had slept recently as I don't like travelling at dark :/*
continue on 10 minutes later freeze.
gave up
when to have a pizza came back.

there is a save of me on level ten?? wtf I was on level 4 *I'm a newbie srsly I got distracted trying to find my way to New Vegas* it won't let me load and uhrr okay thanks Bethesda for trying to say happy birthday but next time allow me some assistance opening these wonderful fake saves of yours.

No hater to Bethesda likes I'm a big fan.

Is there anyway to reduce crashes?

also if it says anything I got distracted and may of put it was xbox 360 but I own both so yeah haha it's the ps3 I got it for because that was meant to be less glitchy
is there any places that trigger big glitches or whatever?
I'm new to the forums and whatever and get distracted with everything :/

Tssk sorry I tend to ramble not the best des.... *coughs*
Got the collector's edition today for my birthday fine until I started trying to find my way to New Vegas
It hadn't glitched before so I was hopeful I was one of the lucky ones
anyways
It glitched causing my game to crash so I had to restart
tried again glitched quicker.
I log off for a while come back and then have this save claiming me to be on level ten.
I can't access the save and I never got to level ten as I'm a new player.

Is there anyway to resolve those problems ^

Is there any places that tend to cause glitches more than other places?

Tried to explain it simpler

You probably have a corrupt save. I have it on PS3 as well, beat the game first time around without major issues. Started a new one on hardcoe mode and got to lvl 23, and my game froze up so much I had to start a new one, which wasn't any better, so I reinstalled the game.

It froze every time I tried, which ended up corrupting my HDD, and I had to restore the file system in safe mode. I still had some saves, so to be safe I deleted those, and waited for Bethesda's half-assed support to get back to me, which they never did. So, I went ahead and installed it again, hoping it wouldn't freeze up, and I finally got it going again. I've had only 2 crashes in maybe 7-8 hours of gameplay, which is a lot better than before. So my guess was that my save was corrupt, which just screwed everything up.

The best you can do is make a lot of saves. I turned off the option for VATS kills that happen without going into VATS(I think it's called cinematic or something. just set it to off.) and autosaves I set all to off so the game wouldn't try accessing the HDD during a crash. Since then, I've been doing alright.

To be honest, though, this game has a wide variety of bugs, so it kind of depends what quests and stuff you do in your game. everyone is having different experiences, but the above is how you could avoid corrupt saves. another good thing to do is go to google and type in wiki fallout and it should be one of the first links, it's like a wikipedia for video games. every quest is detailed there, so scroll past all that to avoid spoilers, and at the bottom should be a list of known bugs/glitches that may/may not happen. this list can help you avoid game crashes and the like.

good news is that the patch is finally coming out!

It'll be here Tuesday :sadvaultboy: I bet since that's when they update the PS store and that's all that's left to do is for PlayStation to release the patch.

This ^^^ is probably most likely.
Though, I am keeping my fingers crossed that Sony will allow the patch to deploy off schedule because of all of the hooplah over FO:NV.
Like I said ... fingers crossed. I just won't hold my breath. :shakehead:
