UlfricStormcloak Flaming Thread

Post » Wed Jan 22, 2014 5:03 am

I started this thread for all my fellow Ulfric haters. And below, is a post that explains when I finally realized that I didn't just hate Ulfric, but I HATED him, as in wanted a mod that would let me mount his head above the dining room table in my home.

So read below, and then post either your own revelation experience, your reasons for hating him and his stupid stormcloaks, or any combination. The only stipulation I will make, is this thread MUST be filled with hatred of Ulfric and his people.

After listening to the soundtrack for Skyrim, specifically the song Age of Opression, I began to think about Ulfric Stormcloak.

Anyways, Ulfric, big shot who fancies himself high king. Well, I hit next on my randomized playlist of my favorite video game/movie soundtracks, and the song that played while Ulfric was on the mind, was Be Prepared from the Lion King. I stopped and re-listened five times and I found it to be scary.

Below are some examples that just scream Ulfric Stormcloak to me.

"What're we supposed to do, kill Mufasa? .............. precisely."

"A shiny new era is tip-toeing nearer."

"I know it sounds sordid, but you'll be rewarded, when at last I am given my dues."

"There will be a king! I WILL BE KING!"

"It's great that we'll soon be connected, with a king who'll be all time adored." (Yeah right)

"Of course, you're expected to take certain duties aboard."

"The future is littered with prizes, and though I'm the main addressee, the point I must emphasize is, YOU WON"T GET A SNIFF WITHOUT ME."

"I'll be king undisputed, respected, saluted, and SEEN FOR THE WONDER I AM."

I could go on, but I think I've made my point.

EMPIRE FOREVER! Death to Ulfric and his Stormcloaks!

Interesting choice for a first post!! Welcome to the forums.

I usually choose to side with the Imperials. Nothing quite like shouting Ulfric to death!

You're making a great image for the rest of the Empire supporters. *sarcasm*

I'm a Stormcloak, but you don't see me flaming the Empire. Why? Because I find it of great importance that you tolerate one's personal choice with matters like these.

There's a difference between discussing the civil war and blindly bashing the opposite side. My hopes are that this thread will be removed, not because I'm pro-Stormcloak, but because I'm convinced that this could end badly.

All hail Ulfric Stormcloak, true high king of Skyrim! The Stormcloaks will rid Skyrim of the Thalmor and the Empire and will take the fight to elf-land and show those pesky elves that NO ONE enslaves Skyrim!

As obvious from the Stormcloak that posted above this, they realize they are wrong, but they are afraid to admit it.

The ideas of the Stormcloaks, are admirable. I'm not saying anything against that. I'm saying the execution of said ideals, the racism, the fact that Ulfric is just a power hungry SOB, makes the Stormcloaks the greater of two evils. The idiot named Ulfric, screwed up everything. The Empire surrendered for a single reason, to rebuild their strength for the next campaign. If Ulfric had kept his trap shut, then the Dominion could've been dealt with and the ban on the make believe god Talos would've been lifted.

And yes, I frankly believe that Talos being elevated to god status was a mistake, so sue me.

Stormcloaks all the way.

As ferrykeizer stated. This thread is going to end badly, especially where "Flaming" is in the title.

It is wrong to downside the other side in such a manner, as there are a lot of feelings about the civil war and the Imperials and Stormcloaks on these threads. What we do not need is someone coming on here and starting World War 3.

Ahh this is such fun. Video games and their logical and illogical devotees are an interesting bunch. Especially when the game steers you in the direction other than the right one.

Couldn't have asked for a better subject and assignment.

The Empire has no place in Skyrim, period.

Ironic. Given Skyrim has been part of the Empire for a good long time. What's even FUNNIER, is Talos, or Tiber Septim, since that's his real name, came from Skyrim and founded the Empire.

Now, I'm just guessing, but, if Tiber was anything like Martin, he'd be annoyed at the Stormcloaks moreso than the Empire. The Empire bowing to the demands of the Dominion was a sound strategy. It gives them time to gain strength to fight back. The Stormcloaks are fighting to harm the Empire that their own hero founded.

Therefore, I still say, Stormcloaks are the greater of two evils. And, what's even funnier is this, Ulfric hates the elves, as do the Stormcloaks, but, rather than go to Tullius and say, "I hate the dominion, you hate the dominion, let's join forces." He says, "Ah, I'm power hungry, hi Torygg, -CENSORED THU'UM- now I'm king. Bow and scraqe to me. I claim to fight for the Nords, but I don't want you to be proud and strong. I want you to scraqe and obey."

Talos would be ashamed of his people. Of course, if Talos was really a divine and not just an extraordinary man, he would've taken steps to ensure the Septim line didn't die out. Like have Martin or someone go off and have a bastard child with a barmaid or something.

While I do respect Tullius as a man, I don't respect the decision to agree to ban Talos. I also think it's better to fight for the right to worship him at will, anywhere, than just bend over to the Thalmor and have unofficial shrines at people's homes. Ulfric and the Stormcloaks is the only hope Skyrim has.

Oh, and another reason why Ulfric is baws: Vladimir Kulich.

The Empire used to be good. 200 years ago or so. Now, it is just a corrupt shell of what it once was.

Spoiler
There's someone plotting to even murder the emperor, and you just look past this? The Empire is corrupt. Screw the Empire and screw the Thalmor. If Ulfric wants to be high king then I'll fight to make it happen! Until my dying breath!

Yes, and he is also very wrong in what he says. I know Ulfric isn't perfect, but the Empire has more holes than a freaking Swiss cheese.

He wasn't. He was an opportunistic bastard with the support of an undead-ish Nord King(Wulfharth), whom he betrayed to get a power source for the mega-robot he unleashed on Summerset Isles to force them to bow to him, who played people against one another(exploiting distrust between Nords and Bretons, and the Forebears and Crowns in Hammerfell) , used his nordic allies to drag yrodiil kicking and screaming into the Empire and annexed Morrowind by a treaty with Vivec(which is where he got the robot from). One of his less grand scale crimes would be forcing someone to have an abortion(not emphasis on the abortion, but on the forced part!), and having a guy's tongue cut out and another guy killed just for being part of her past.

Tiber Septim was not a virtuous man. He was a warlord and a good one.

A "Flaming Thread"? Really? And how did you think that would end?

Closed for obvious reasons.

Flaming thread indeed.
