Give your thoughts and ideas about who ulysses is and how he made an impact on the Courier's life. I know this topic has been mentioned around a lot but I want to hear more about this "Ulysses"

Yeah the link that Simon provided is just about all we know about Ulysses.
We could speculate on what kind of "relationship" they had (from the, likely, false rumor.).
I think they were cliffdiving buddies. :D

I had an idea that perhaps he could be the Prisoner. It'd also give him a link with The Burned Man, as they probably would've travelled together.

For those unfamiliar with VB, The Prisoner would've been the player character, who would've been able to recruit the Burned Man (Then called the Hanged Man).

My theory is that Ulysses and the Courier were friends long ago at the Divide but something tore them apart. Both Ulysses and the Courier knew some day that they would have to return there, but Ulyssess thought the Courier was dead until he saw his name on the sheet. He let him take the job to test if he was still in it.

I have the feeling the grafitti 'you can go home now courier' is telling him it's time to go home to the divide. I don't think the battle is between the two of them rather the two fighting together against a greater evil. Somehow during the course of the DLC the courier will rediscover his past and his friendship with Ulysses.

But hey, I could be totally wrong.
