Alright so I went ahead and got your Skyrim ultimate edition and I am having a few issues. After installing the add ons and all of that I start the game and get through the prologue and so forth.

After coming to Riverwood I notice that after the first day Hod wont work his mill anymore. Also at Half moon mill only the female will come out of the house. I havent killed Hod or the male at that camp.

So I deleted my saves and game data and re installed the add ons and started Skyrim again. Now after completing the epilogue again I decided to just go forward with my game except for upon arrival to Whiterun there are no guards at the gate to ask me what my business is at Whiterun.

My question is should I avoid installing the add ons until after I have completed the epilogue? Or what do you guys think? Or do I install the ad ons in any particular order? I am stuck and not sure what to do. It says all three are installed in the main menu where it says Downloadable content. I am just not sure what to do at this point

Try to delete all DLC's from "DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT" and delete your game main data as well (from SKYRIM folder)

Install only the main game + patch 1.9. Load a save and see what happens.

There is a bug with Hod on Riverwood that happens sometimes, and is as follows:

Hod doesn't go to work each day.

If he is not at the mill at 8 am, and you break into his house, you should find him standing inside.

He will greet you or tell you to get out, and when you leave, he will follow you outside and may walk to the mill and start work.

However, he may stand by his house for a few hours instead.

(But that's not a big deal you know - i wouldn't re-install the game because of that only !!!!)

There is only a radiant quest related with Hod and that's "Get paid to chop firewood." (and he gives you 5 septims for each wood)

No Guards Outside of whiterun

Just get arrested by guards somewhere around Whiterun and you'll get sent to the dungeon.

There's a glitch where if you get out of whiterun without using the gate, the rest of the world is not updates because it assumes you're still inside the city.
