NV Ultimate Edition

Post » Tue Aug 21, 2012 5:42 pm

Hello I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I bought the CE of new vegas (us disc). I was wondering if my save files would transfer to the Ultimate edition canadian version or the US version.

I wanted to download the dlc as it came out, but on psn the dlc is limited to the canadian version.

I would buy the Ultimate edition if I don't lose my character (MY ps3 died and I lost my first 100 hour game, had to start over).
Thank you!

I originally owned the German version and purchased it and all the DLCs individually via Steam.
While on vacation in the US, I bought the ultimate edition (CD) and brought it back. The files worked fine and translated over perfectly.

The files are just that: basic files. Nothing about your character files locks them in or forces them to be played with a specific version. As long as you still have access to your original character files, you can open them with a Hungarian version of the game, if you wanted to.

PC.

I don't understand why US save files wouldn't work with the Canadian version...It's possible, but it seems like it would actually take effort from the developers to make that happen.
