I think the polygon count is actually quite fantastic, it's the low-quality textures and shaders (no POM) that bring the game down

Those screens look like vanilla C2. Maybe do some comparison screens.

Looks great, and I'm sure they're authentic, but it doesn't change the fact that we need DX11. The buildings, for example, could look less flat.

there is no difference between the pictures and extreme, anyway no one managed to be better than extreme, so expect that sort patch

Thanks for sharing. But given that fact the textures are very low res in those pics I'll wait for the higher res textures in the DX11 Patch :-D

ok so I need to clear up a few things:

Yes the textures are lowish-res (that's all the game has right now) you can't polish a texture turd but you can remove pop-in, improve LOD's, lighting, shadows etc.

TRY THE CONFIG... see it in motion... and then tell me it's vanilla... :)

Until we get DX11 and Hi-Res textures... this is as good as it gets!

The only other thing you can do to improve things is turn on SGSSAA, but who needs that performance hit? it's such a faced paced game... who's got time to notice a few jaggies.
