Ulvirith's Legacy v3.3Kayla's Knick Knacks Incompatible

Post » Thu Oct 01, 2015 2:54 pm

I tried using Ulvirith's Legacy v3.3 along with Kayla's Knick Knacks and got these errors:

Matching IDs: Qtable01

Ulvirith's Legacy_3,32.esp: type Static

Kaylas_Kick_Knacks.esp: type Misc Item

Matching IDs: Qtable01

UL_3.3_TR_14.08_Add-on.esp: type Static

Kaylas_Kick_Knacks.esp: type Misc Item

For those who don't know what this means, the creator of UL used a "Misc Item" from Kayla's Knick Knacks mod as a Static without renaming the ID, thus getting the "Matching IDs" error. I went into both UL esps with Morrowind Enchanted Editor and deleted Qtable01 from the Statics list. This seemed to do the trick as the error messages have disappeared. I backed up my esps and rather than delete the statics, I'm going to use the Construction Set to try and rename them and hope that will do the trick. I'm no expert in modding or detecting and resolving issues like this, but I think this might fix the problem. Also, notice that the KKK mod is misspelled in the error message. If the latter can be done successfully, someone please let me know. I hope this helps someone out in the future.

Edit: I managed to go into the Ulvirith's Legacy_3.32.esp and changed Qtable01 to ULQtable01. I tried editing the TR add-on, but when I tried loading it in the CD, it crashed at 20%. I'm not sure how to fix this, so I'll just save the original esp's for now until someone can help me with this issue.

I'm sure Stuporstar will try to solve this once she has logged in.

That's the way to do it.

Couple of others like this:
Princess Stomper et al's "Mournhold Expanded" and Qarl's "The Underground 2" both use the same ID, duck1, for an object. "Mournhold Expanded" uses it for a Creature, "The Underground 2" for a Sound.
Trancemaster's "New Seyda Neen" and Saborcoco's "Maximus" both use the same ID, Maximus, for an object. "New Seyda Neen" uses it for a NPC, "Maximus" for a Weapon.

When loading the TR addon did you have the plugin's masters (the TR ESMs) enabled too?

I forgot to check them off, Dragon. I'm going to try that again. Thanks for the tip.

Edit: Checking the TR mods fixed the crashing issue. I renamed the UL static "ULQtable01" and the TR add on static was renamed "ULTRQtable01". No more errors. Thanks again.
