an optional perk and it still wouldn't work with a gay female, they wouldn't shoe horn us into something that is purely player choice it would be a horrible design and it makes little sense to assum they were lovers based upon the fact that the courier had an impact on Ullyses life.

Yeah, the whole 'gay lovers' thing started because a source that reported on the DLCs used the word Relationship and too many people think the word only has the one meaning (Ironic really, cos you know if someone said that word to some of them they'd run for the hills)

See, I don't think they are enemies at all. Don't forget, Ulysses was supposed to be your companion in New Vegas, until he got cut out for the DLC. I think you're both after the same thing in the divide, rivals, both after the big bag o'caps. That is how you end up fighting.

Worst thing is, Lonesome Road is the last DLC, so we won't know for MONTHS! arghghghgh lol

I thought it was fiarly obvious fron johnson nash's comment about you being a courier made it clear there was some malice there Ullyses said something along the lines of is that name real followed by let the bastard take the package, not to mention christines line about how Ullyses said he knew what it was like to have someone have such an impact on your life comparing you to elijah, thats point to the courier having done something to Ullyses that he seems to want reveng for.

which is why "rivals" makes more sense. You took a big paying job away from him, he had to sell his farm. Now he's gone after the big paying job (in the Divide) and he doesn't want you anywhere near it.

If it was a gay thing they should call it awkward road. The tagline"From the people who brought you the mostly broken FNV and dead money dlc comes awkward road". The real reason you were in the ditch was because chandler was homophobic and the reason you didn't know you were gay was because the doc really did "fix you up".

Some people have been playing Dragon Age too much, relationship=/=lovers.
The world has more than one meaning, not only that but chris avellone (lead writer) does not belive in putting romances in game. The whole idea is just silly.

Nobody is homophobic in this thread, NOBODY. The reason so few people actualy want this is probably becuse they don't want to be railroaded into something like that, if you are not a homosixual in game then you should not have or had a gay relationship.

Ulysses could be gay, but I doubt it was with the Courier.

There's a grave at wolfhorn ranch. I'm guessing the Courier killed Ulysses wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend whatever.

Obviously homosixuality isn't something Obsidian have shied away from in New Vegas (thanks, by the way), but I seriously doubt they would make Ulysses the former lover of the player character, essentially ruining peoples roleplaying and making every male PC gay/bi or every female PC straight/bi. I'm a little worried in general about the players involvement with Ulysses because I got the vibe that we've done something pretty heinous to him that he's trying to avenge which doesn't really work with my character.

It won't happen, not all of us are gay/straight/bi/fish/whatever, forcing us to be a particular race/six/karmic affiliation in an RPG promising not to make you be pidgeon holed into one class would anger people, myself included.

You were forced into the Brotherhood (or at least to work with them) in the main game anyway. Borked Steel didn't change anything.

Concidering how weak the courier is starting out, even before getting shot in the head, I don't see how the courier could have done anything to affect Ulysses. Maybe kill his pet molerat on accident?

It said that the Courier and Ulysses have a relationship with each other that players might not expect, I don't think that they are gay - what it think is that they are siblings
