Ulysses is talking to me as if I work for House. How do I fi

Spoiler
House is dead. I punched him with a ballistic fist first chance I got.

I already played through LR once and Ulysses kept talking to me as if I was with the NCR, which I pretty much am. I have done both the Yes Man and NCR questlines so I can enjoy blindsiding the NCR at the last moment. I ended up with the NCR version of the Courier's Duster, though, and after trying to use the console to spawn the independent version proved unsuccessful I decided to just try replay LR (I enjoyed it anyway). But now when I try to wear faction armor (I have tried BoS and NCR) I get the House responses.

I want the independent duster, but more importantly, I just want to enjoy the DLC and have it actually match the continuity of the story and my character (and the fact that it doesn't is a pretty huge, gaping flaw in my eyes for a game like this).

Does anybody know how I can fix this?

You need mixed or negative strip reputation. Kill people on the Strip to get that.

Thanks for the quick reply. :)

No! My most important character works for House and Ulysses was thinking I was for the NCR (I was idolized by the NCR and the Strip). I was very disappointed because I love Mr. House and for my first playthrough into the DLC I wanted Ulysses to see me as an ally of House...

I can't wait to play this. Ulysses isn't going to know how to address me. I'm on the boarder with the Legion, friendly to the Kahns, idolized by teh NCR, idolized by House, and Idolized by Yes-Man.

I've still got no idea whom I'm officially siding with. I'd like to kill House but I dunno how to get into his little room without getting shot up by his securitrons.

Yeah it's a bit annoying, he addressed me as a member of the NCR, even though I'm independent.
I'm not on bad terms with NCR, but surely the game should check which main quests you've done?

The problem is that the DLC is accessible after leaving Doc Mitchell's house. I think you can figure out the rest.

I think it's a matter of people not doing the right quests.

I think it largely depends on what route you took to the point of no going back. I work with House, got up to THAW IV, and an Idolized rep on the Strip and Ulysses adresses me as a House supporter. So I think it's more there are certian hoops you must jump to reach your respected acknowledgements like I did House.

Edit: I think the DLC judges you based on who you've gone with before the point of no return. For the first 3 or so guests for House NCR or Legion, your loyalties arent paved yet, so there's time to go back, but in Mr. House's case when you complete his request of the Boomers, your choice has been made.

Its based off the most reputation points not necessarily whose path you follow.

Or its glitched. Either way.

Wear some NCR faction armor, then it will set your NCR reputation to neutral, then after completing Lonesome Road you will get the New Vegas ending as well as the Mr.House version of the courier duster. :3 :wavey:

I had already killed Ceaser, but there's no way to tell him that.

I got all the right dialogue with him. (I'm with the NCR), but I got the ending movie that had independent duster. got a NCR duster tho. wearing it with a marked beast helmet.

I'm idolized by the NCR, liked by the Legion, and idolized by the strip, but got NCR dialouge. I think its based on a combination of rep. points and quest line progression, since i'm still in Act l.

On another note:
I want the independent duster :cryvaultboy:

Lonesome Road is a DLC that is meant to be played just before Hoover Dam.

By that time, you should be distinguished.

I would not know TBH, I played with a legion character, who everyone hates. :)

I might have to smash a couple of NCR skulls in to distinguish my indie character.

Tought killing House couldn't grant me the house flag... Killed house, Kimball, Caesar, still house man... That's obviously a big flaw in the dlc. But as the "story" and all Ulysse's mumbling is uninteresting anyway...

Which coat you get depends on your reputation. If you want to get the House duster because you're working for him but have higher repuatation with the Legion or NCR, you can go back to the Mojave any time, pick up some faction armor before you enter the chamber with Ulysses, wear it before going in there and you will become neutral with the two big faction enemies and your Strip fame will be highest.

I think getting the independant duster requires killing House first but I can't be 100%, and as for an NCR or Legion duster... er, rampage on the Strip?

There is one (speech 90), but no talking after that.. about caesar or anybody else..

If you find all his logs you can convince him he was wrong and he will fight beside you. Also you get alot of dialogue that way. <3

Ulysses judges you based on your faction reputation, NOT your main game questline.

If you're Idolized by the Strip, NCR and Legion, NCR takes preference, presumably because it's harder to become Idolized by the NCR than it is by the other two. Think Legion comes next, then the Strip. Indy Vegas requires mixed rep in all three.
If you want House, just don't do EVERY NCR quest, or do the last quest for House before Hoover Dam battle (great chance to get negative rep with NCR). If you want Legion, you should be fine. If you want Indy....pfffft not sure. Aim a gun in a casino = free negative rep. Kill an NCR soldier (Eldorado Substation anyone?) = negative rep. Legion? Just shoot one of them. You can find lone Legionaires all over.
