Kids complained that Umbra was too spreadsheety, complex, and too difficult.

Umbra was the most powerful sword in oblivion and should return in Skyrim

It might return but
Spoiler
Umbra was turned to dust and the soul removed from the sword so we would need to find the dust and get back the soul in it.

Meh, I didn't use it, soul trap is kinda lame. If you cared about soul trapping you'd only put one second on a weapon since it will capture during the hit.

To be frank I don't really give a shi-. I was expecting a good game that's better than movies, just didn't happen. Bored out of my mind.

What they should do is add a new type of weapon or spell.

All it takes is a few minutes of coding to add the weapon in. What justification is there to leave a trademark sword out of Skyrim when it appeared in Morrowind and Oblivion?

READ THIS! Umbra is no more.

that's only if the champion of Cyrodiil gave the sword to Clavicus Vile and kept it instead and kept it

Nope, there was a book series where Umbra was the antagonist and permanently destroyed. Even if your character in Oblivion never found Umbra, it eventually got a life of its own and decided to kill people until Vile permanently returned it to himself. Read the books.

I do believe the official lore has it that Umbra was destroyed as described in the Wiki.

It was destroyed around the time of The Red Year.

That's right, no spoiler tags. I'm just edgy like that. :jammasterjay:

a magical device could reforge the sword, without the soul the sword is purified

Well that's a shame because it is a well-known item.

I would also like daedric gear and rewards from daedra lords to slowly drive you insane due to the evilness. Make you hear voices.

Yeah, it was my most used sword in Oblivion, if you like soul trapping.

Only some of the daedra are evil.

So whatever is in the 'books', the Game must follow?

How awful to license an aftermarket product only to have it dictate the terms of the Franchise.

That would be like George Lucas unable to further Star Wars (if he wished to) because one of the supermarket mass produced company novellas said he couldn 't.

You mean only some of the daedra LORDS are evil. All the daedra like dremora, ogrimm (sp?), golden saints, are considered evil.

Bethesda made it lore, they didn't have too.

They are daedra, lords or not. Also, Golden Saints and Dark Seducers aren't exactly evil. And, this has nothing to do with what I responded too.

Not all Daedra lords are evil, so why would their gear make you turn evil?

Oh another Umbra fan who thinks it is "The most powerful in Oblivion" It had the highest base damage of 1 handed weapons, nothing more. Plenty of better weapons.
