Hey guys, I just noticed this on the Vault's Lonesome Road Page: http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110905163133/fallout/images/9/95/FONV-Lonesome-Road-Screenshot.jpg

Hard to tell, but the character next to the flag looks like Ulysses, since I think he is wearing Ulysses' outfit. The other character could be the courier, or it could just be another enemy. What do you think?

is that a new screenshot? i haven't seen it on Wika's fallout page...
well he looks to have the same build of ulysses in the concept art...but u never will know till you play it

Looks like Ulysses tied his hair up for the fight, I see a yellow band holding his hair up, though it might be a black Courier with Ulysses' outfit. This might be where the battle takes place, seeing as how there is an old world flag the battle can take place under as told by Christine.

I'm pretty sure that's a fan-made picture. The poses, the outfit the character's wearing, the Ulysses hair (I think the dreads available through mods are in a ponytale), the rocks look like they're from a texture pack, etc.

True. I don't think Ulysses would put his hair up to fight, and the scenery looks pretty generic.

It's showing up now, didn't before :shrug:

But anyway 2 more fake indicators: Orange tint being tons more prominent than in actual screens, and the fact that the Bethesda watermark that is present on all other screens isn't present.

So far in the games, no other characters hair has spontaneousaly changed. So there it that. Then the coats are different, one is very torn up, while the real screen shot is a worn out coat.

With all do respect I don't think that's it for three reasons:

1) Overall the quality looks half-assed and [censored]. The flag appears stiff as a board and Ulysses hair does too.
2) His overcoat in this screen is torn whereas it is not in the other pic.
3) The two are doing poses generally not available in game. Ulysses' pose is never seen and the one done by the other character can't be performed by the player of course, not to mention it looks slightly different from how NPCs do it. We've yet to see Obsidian use non-playable motions in preview pics or trailers.

Yeah, that's definitely a fake. Bethesda would have put the neat little indicator somewhere. Looks a lot like a mod more than anything, the jacket is different too.

I'm fairly certain that coat is not Ulysses' coat. Ulysses is usually depicted in a black, sleeveless coat. That one is a green overcoat. Probably the same one shown in the other LR pictures. It's probably just new armor or clothing available in the DLC.

You guys forget that MCA's twitter profile pic DOESN'T have the bethesda watermark on it either. I'm denying that this screenshot is a fake or anything, but the screenshot doesn't have to have the bethesda watermark in order to be considered "real" if you know what i'm saying...

That was just an additional piece of information that further points to it being fake, it wasn't necessarily being put forward as irrefutable proof.

http://fallout.wikia.com/index.php?title=Ulysses&image=UlyssesConceptArt-png was revealed as being Ulysses concept art, and the picture of him near the ICBM is the same thing dreads and all. The guy in the coat is just the courier, notice the pip-boy.

But the screen I posted is a black guy in a sleeveless black coat with the Old World Flag on it, with his back turned. It's clearly Ulysses. I'm really not seeing how you can think the coat from that screenshot remotely looks like the coat from the screenshot you posted.

It's a obvious mod, unless they foe some reason added the ability to hold your gun like that.

I didn't even notice that. Clearly any NPC or yourself never holds their gun over their shoulder.
