So I've been playing Skyrim for quite a while now but a few weeks ago something weird happend to my Steam. At first i couldnt start it (Steam) but I've got it working now. But something else happend. It [censored] up my games. Both Skyrim and Fallout NV gives me this message when i try to start them

Skyrim: Unable to find INI file. Please reinstall Skyrim

Fallout NV: Unable to find INI file. Please reinstall Fallout

I've tried to reinstall both games but the messages keep reappearing. Plese help me and come with Ideas on how i might be able to fix this problem.

Try Validating the Local Cache within Steam for these games, that replaces the INI files (or puts them in place if they are not there)

Also, you want to install at least Fallout 3 (NV too if you can) in a non UAC directory. In other words not in either of the Program Files directories. Instead, make a folder like C:\Games or similar, and set that up as a Steam Library, then install or move your games to that.

If that doesn't work, try shutting down Steam and then deleting the ClientRegistry.blob file located in your Steam folder. Restart Steam and allow it to recreate the .blob file.
