I have a great build at the moment, and I actually have spent more time playing the game than modding it of late - with one exception.

For some reason I am unable to improve magical items when smithing. I know there are about a million reasons why this might happen, but I was wondering if there was some way to adjust or detect the problem with Tes5edit or something along those lines.

If anyone would have any suggestions along these lines they would be greatly appreciated.

I'll ask a fairly stupid question, but I forget such small things too so.... any chance your forgot to take a perk that lets you?

Not a stupid question, I do sometimes overlook the obvious. However, I do in fact have the perk.
