Hi ! My dragonborn is currently at level 9 (wood elf) and i cant seem to marry (especially Balimund).. I did the quest to bring him 10 fire salts and i also completed the ''book of love'' quest to receive the amulent of mara and im also wearing the amulent all the time. Unfortunately i havent talked to the priest or whatever whom can be talked about marriage 'cause he isnt in the temple whenever i go there... I havent still finished the main quest tho but it shouldnt have any affect on my ability to marry?

i really need help 'cause im in love with Balimund haha and i have all requirements i cant see whats wrong

You need to talk to the priest before you can marry anyone. You can most often find him in the Barb And Bee or whatever the inn is called in Riften.

For further notice, you DON'T need to complete The Book of Love to get married. All you need to do is talk to the priest, acquire an Amulet of Mara (he sells them, they can also be found at general merchants and as random loot. A guaranteed one should be in a tent northeast of Dawnstar), and complete whatever quests/favors for the npc you want to marry.

Exactly unfortunately i found out about that after using a lot of time to that quest. Oh well.

If you really want to find the priest, go to the temple and wait an hour. If he doesn't show up, wait another. Eventually he will show up. Certainly at night he will.
