Unable to play until 25th : Crysis

Bought game, now when activating the product it says "Available after 3/25/11"... any ideas or do I really have to wait until tomorrow to play?... I swear I might as well sell the game and download it for free, and they wonder why piracy is such an issue on the PC

The UK release date is tomorrow, if you bought through Steam of course you'll have to wait til tomorrow.

if u bought on steam should unlock at midnight, the european one unlocked at midnight last night so should be same tnite for us. its so annoying tho. its pre-loaded on my pc and i cant play yet. grrr

this happens even if you have retail version of game because EA installer thing.... so mad right now

no cracks available for game yet so i guess i need to wait

It does this in the Retail version in the UK too, tbh it is complete BS, we have to wait for a whole day just because in my case it arrived early through the post, I mean come on the only company that can get away with this is EA, so while everyone one else who owns Crysis 2 outside of the UK and a couple of EU countries can play, we are forced to sit down and look happy with a thumb stuck up our ass, way to go with the fair treatment.

yes I am annoyed by this major dumbass move.

Agreed, this is just outrageous. I even sat there singing a little song to myself whilst installing to then be rudely interupted by a stupid message box telling me also, Wait until after 25th. NO i want to play it now, I suppose i will have to try and find a way around it like Dead space 2, another game where it said I had to wait.

Same here. Utter ****. Maybe because it isn't activated, but does your quick-launcher work and the Crysis exe? I've installed the patch, and the exe won't load (doesn't even have proper icon) and the launcher doesn't appear period.

What's even more of a audacity, is people were playing (although beta and buggy) the leaked version a few weeks ago. Us on the other hand, legally have the game, and can't even play it. And these **** wonder why people result in piracy. **** deserve everything they get.

DVD arrived through the mail, installed and patched to v1.1 and I can't play it.

Great, brilliant customer service.

Take the activation restriction off ffs, don't force poeple to look for ways around DRM you should be rewarding genuine owners.

Same situation here. With Dragon Age 2 I was at least able to use a VPN in Asia to trick it into unlocking. No such luck here. I love being made to feel like a criminal when I've paid ￡30 for a game :p

I un-installed it. Re-installed, activated and it works. Don't think I've stuck patch on yet, which is why it seems to be okay at moment. Still **** though.

I un-installed it. Re-installed, activated and it works. Don't think I've stuck patch on yet, which is why it seems to be okay at moment. Still **** though.

Just tried the activation again on my patched version and it unlocked. Common sense prevails! Well done, Crytek.

I received Crysis 2 today, After installing I could play immediatly. |No warning about tomorrow or anything. I also didn't change my computer time or anything else, so it's pretty weird some of you are having troubles with this. I'm from the Netherlands by the way.
