After several hours of trying to install Daggerfall via dosbox .72 yesterday I have hit a wall. I can't progress any father through the character creation process... I answered the questions to help select a class but then I get to a screen that has the bonus points. I roll and the stats change so then I click ok to move on but then a message is displayed that says "You must distribute bonus points" Maybe I am an idiot but I don't see how this is possible I click on some attribute and the bonus points(I presume) are assigned to that attribute. The number of points seem to be related with whatever I just rolled. I just want to get beyond this screen and I am confused and irritated.

I refuse to give up on this game as my machine is too slow to play morrowind and I have been excited to play this RPG.

I tried adjusting the CPU cycles and using CNTRL-F-10 to lock/unlock the mouse and these methods have yielded NO results. Has anyone had a similar problem and how did you address it. I am using a Pentium III 733 with 192 megs of RAM and it is also a notebook with windows XP (yes its old but its not so old it shouldn't be able to play daggerfall).

If I am unclear please tell me what you need clarification on. Thanks for your time folks...

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but the little box with a small number in it has the number of bonus points you are supposed to distribute, which you do by clicking the arrow at the top or bottom of the little box the number is in. When you click the top arrow, that increases that particular attribute by one point and decreases the bonus by one point. Hope that makes sense.
