[HELP] Unable to setup Supply Lines

Post » Thu Dec 03, 2015 12:35 am

So I have the necessary perks, and I've even setup a supply line between two settlements before (Sanctuary to Red Rocket). But for some reason, the game will no longer allow me to setup any new supply lines no matter what I do.

When I go into workshop mode and mouse over a settler, the Supply Line command IS highlighted. However, when I click R1, nothing happens. No sound effect, no text box, no instructions from the game, the command simply does not get registered. I've tried switching settlers, settlements, making sure the settlers don't have a current assignment when trying to setup a supply line, etc. I even cancelled my existing supply line between Sanctuary and Red Rocket, but the game wouldn't even let me get it back. As I said the command is there, it is highlighted, but when I select it NOTHING HAPPENS.

Now I'm stuck with no supply lines, and The Castle REALLY needs some concrete. Can anyone help me out????

When you Highlight the settler and click supply line, are you not given a list of your current settlements to choose?

Nope. I click supply line, and the game acts as if I didn't do anything at all. Absolutely zero response.

When I first got the perk I could do it just fine, I highlighted a settler, click supply line, and it brought up the list with no hassle at all. I have no idea what the issue could be!

I have a question linked to this , if I build a generator or turret in sanctuary , is there a way for me to move it to the castle ?

No Benjiboy, you can't move it to another location. I wish they would change that.

Don't know it this could have anything to do with it, but do you already have Supply Lines going to all of your other Settlements?

I think I got that response ( or something similar) when there were just not more Supply Lines left for me to build. As soon as I founded a new settlement, the command worked again.

No, you only can share the mats between settlements. That doesn't include the Junk items either. For example, say you have 3 adhesive and 2 rolls of duct tape at sanctuary and you want to use them at the castle for whatever. Due to the restrictions, you only have access to the 3 adhesive, not the duct tape. You would have to travel to sanctuary and either carry it from there to the castle, or drop the tape on the ground and scrap it via build menu.

I don't have any supply lines actually! I set up a supply line as soon as I got the perk and it worked perfectly, but after that the game wouldn't allow me to add any more supply lines. So i disabled my existing supply line to see if that was causing the problem, but it was not and now i have 0 supply lines. The option is there but does not react when I press R1.

Do you have enough space to set them up? I think, lets say you have 6 charisma, you can have 16 settlers. So if you set up a provisioner to another settlement it has to have less than 16.

I also noticed that if I have several extra beds available I get minute men and traders often in those settlements.

Yea I have plenty of space, but I figured out the problem. I'm playing on PC but I use a controller instead of KB&m. For some reason the game decided to ignore the R1 button presses in the workshop interface, but R1 works everywhere else. I simply went into the gameplay settings, disabled the controller, and then setup a supply line using Q on my keyboard.

I'm at a loss for words, it was so simple to fix and I've been failing for 3 days... If any other PC controller users have the same problem, just disable the controller and use the keyboard to setup your supply lines.

I had a ton of scrap at Sanctuary that I wanted to use at the castle and all I could do was carry it all so me and my trusted four legged companion fast traveled everything bit by bit , took ages ( fcuk cement ) but I have about four turrets and a few genorators that are just gonna go to waste ...

It shares junk items, it just doesn't show them as junk items. It shows the mats they scrap into.
