Unarmed Skill

Post » Sat Apr 24, 2010 1:56 am

I've recently taken pride in my unarmed abilities, such as killing a deathclaw in two hits with a ballistic fist (uppercut) killing fiends whilst completely unarmed, and I'd like to know. What's one of your best combatitive feats?

Seven deathclaws with a ballistic fist. One deathclaw completely unarmed. NO CHEMS.

I am doing my first Fallout melee play through. On the upside I kill everything in one or two hits. On the downside it is very short range. It seems even more deadly then guns which is a bit disappointing for the gun skill.

Everything is rather broad. Do you mean, Fiends? Cazadors? Deathclaws? Fire Geckos? Bloatflies?

My title was misleading. I meant any combatitive feat. Not just unarmed. I apologize.

I can kill fiends and regular NCR troopers with sneak attack criticals whilst completely unarmed.

My favorite way to dispose of fields. Get as much attention as possible from them, melee and ranged ones. Then run around a corner, let them all bunch up, keeping myself healed if need be, and pull out a flamer. This, coupled with my perk, causes one to die, explode, causing a chain reaction, using crippling every limb I have and almost killing me. Good times :)

I'm excited about the guns revamp, but worried about mods going incompatable. Hopefully they will be worth a damn after the patch. Still need to do a NCR, Legion and madman playthrough.

I cleared the quarry area and the whole Deathclaw family there on my first runthrough with my trusty Ratslayer.
That gun is just awesome for the point in the game where you can get it.
Yes I actually take pride in my stealth and sniping skills. Nothing comes anywhere near me without looking like swiss cheese.

My last game was focused on being Unarmed because I had never done it before. I was missing a LOT. It's a great way to play....she was Unarmed/Melee/Explosives and I think they complimented each other well. I've hardly fired a weapon although at times you need to deal with an enemy from range so I use the Tri-Beam. I have to protect my companions and not get in their way so I do switch up when needed. I'm using Pushy so at my high level now, there usually isn't a combo hit...it can only take one hit. Fun! The Deathclaws up cloase are fun ...and scary too. :)

You're not a true man 'till you've killed a Deathclaw with yer bare fists.

Okay I MIGHT have used Ranger Takedown... but that's not the point. :whistling:

In eight runthroughs I have yet to push the unarmed limits. I suppose I should give it a go.

Take on the Deathclaw hideout (with the Remnants PA) using unarmed weapons. Not too hard, if you make use of your stimpacks.

@Bapitty With a ballistic fist, I don't have to use stims at all. I think at this point it's a one hit kill, since I went up ten levels since I posted this.

Where is the Dead Wind Cavern? I didn't memorize the location after Lucy's marker went away.

Near Harper's Shack, a bit SSW of Ranger Station Charlie.
