In one of the loading screens it said that certain people can teach you unarmed skills - I guess like special attacks ... I can't find anything on it. Any info? I'd like to maybe reconsider my character build if these look cool

I know there is a Ranger Takedown move in which you can knock down opponents, there are also a few more but I forget what they are.

Also, as you increase your Unarmed skill, you will gain new moves such as the uppercut (skill level needs to be around 50) and crosses...

Still surprised that the groin isn't a selectable target in VATS. Probably would need a complete code re-write for it... That or it wouldn't get passed the stupid censors. [censored] Censorship. <- Especially that one.

Yeah, they are a nice change to the usual jabs and they take-down is very pleasing to do. It is also always entertaining to watch the V.A.T.S animations...

So if you like doing unarmed combat then I suggest that you try it out.

Caesar will teach you a move if you have 50 (75?) skill in unarmed and Veronica will teach you a move once you find her a dress. Only two I've found so far.

Well, the 9-iron has the option of hitting people in the groin, and I believe other melee weapons get their own special attacks as well.

Unarmed, leveled by itself, provides Uppercut (a normal VATS attack that aims for the head) and Cross (a direct punch that knocks people back and very often drops their weapon).

Ranger Takedown is taught in Novac, but I believe it's not a VATS move (it otherwise requires a backwards power attack).
