Alright I really love this mod, since my character is a cloth wearer for the most part. But when I updated to the new versions suddenly my unarmored skill went from 55 to 10 again... now no big deal cept my butt is now being handed to me hard lol.

Is there a console command so that I can keep updateing but not have to worry about looseing my skill level?


As said in the ReadMe, an Update requires a clean Save.
What you can do to stay with your current skill value is using the following console command after the Update procedure:
set LPUSfEGlPlayerSkill to X

I wanted to say thank you very much for this update to this great mod :goodjob:

I'm also having the menu mode slowdown, like manymoose described. While I'm in gamemode I see no visible effects (no slowdown) but in menu mode, it gets jaggy. The mouse jumps from point to point, and the idle character pose freezes like half a second once per second.

I see no message spam on the console, though. Maybe is another different issue at all?

It's a new character, level 1 and still with little stuff ... mostly ingredients. I'm using Cobl, and Darn UI wz's inventory.

I'll try to do some compatibility tests tomorrow (cos it's getting late now!!) and get back with new info ...

Did you ever try it without your inventory Plugin?

And to get your console spammed ;), you can use the following console command:
set LPUSfEGlShowDebug to 4

Hi there! Nice revamp of an all-time favourite, many thanks...

I haven't got much time so apologize if this already has been brought to your attention....
It appears that your mod carries over an old incompatibility with Wz_Inv, basically all the Item.related menus lag terribly while the two are present...
Would it be possible to do something about that?!?? Wz_Onv is just too good to give it up...

Do you have any further information which exactly causes the slowdown?
Is it a specific command, or sth. else (e.g. a loop)?

Sorry :P As I said I had no time...
About the bug, sorry, I really have no ideas... It surely behaves like a Loop... Only thing out of my mind is tjat i noticed the same when tried Using the Old Galerion True Unarmored... I also remember reverting to an older version of that mod (called simply "Galerion Unarmored" if I remember) to fix the lag...

Just found this in the ReadMe of GalerionTrueUnarmored 2.0.1:
2.0.1: - Fixed menu frame rate hit (when using the wz_inventory mod). Thanks to Mike Adden for finding this bug and suggesting a fix.


Does anyone know this Mike Adden mentioned here?



Well, at least it gave me the hint it's due to a Vanilla-Command (or a specific structure of commands which is also possible without OBSE). But which one? ;)

Looks like I got a lot of testing to do the next days. :wacko:

After some testing I have to ask myself, how can any other mod be compatible with this one?

An empty Menumode-Block causes a CTD while loading the SaveGame. Ok, this is no real problem. When do you use an empty Menumode-Block, but still...
A set-command or an if-command in a MenuMode cause a serious slowdown and disable the ability to use the mouse. :o

The strangest thing of all is, that Galerion used both these commands in his Plugin, so it has to be a command I used in Gamemode in combination with a MenuMode-Block in the same Script. :ahhh:

Just found a newer Version on TesNexus. Maybe this works better.

Edit?:
Even worse. Without changes to the Menumode-Block, there's only a slowdown, but it is possible to use the mouse.
Reducing the Menumode-Block to the first If-Block only results in a CTD while loading. :wacko:

Version 2.2.1:
  • Error Messages for Armor are only displayed if the only Slot they use doesn't have an "iArmorDamageXXChance"-GameSetting.
    • In Addition the Name & ID of the Actor wearing it is displayed, too.

  • Moving on to OBSE-Strings. Nevertheless, Pluggy is still required. (LC, GetFileSize, INIReadInt, Arrays)

I am having the following problem, with both 2.2.0, and the latest 2.2.1:

I recently found a 'mudcrab trophy' (a light armor shield) and equipped it. This, combined with the fact that I was overloaded, caused me to suffer a penalty. However, instead of being penalized - my armor shot up to 85! Removing the shield returned my armor back to its usual level of 5.

I tried uninstalling using the command you mentioned in the first post:
set LPUSFEUninstall to 1

.. however, the command was rejected because this variable does not exist.

Any help would be appreciated!

Uhh, sorry the Globalname changed.

For the thing with the penalty:
Sounds bad. Will have a look into this.

Next Update:
As Scoopy discovered, I totally screwed up the calculation for TotalDamagePercent. :ahhh:


When equipping a Shield you got an even higher defense bonus than before, and when wearing no armor at all you got nothing. :embarrass:



Anyway, I was able to fix that Bug. :)

I have found a major bug - probably a mod incompatability but it just CTDs as soon as there is a battle with more than 2 or 3 NPC enemies.
I haven't tested if it occurs with only it loaded but is there any known incompatabilities with other mods?

Known Incompatibilities
  • DarkUI'd DarN
    • Causes an extreme slowdown while in Menumode

  • nGCD, OXP & other alternative levelling systems
    • Not fully incompatible, so they won't work together in any way. It's just the case that the Unarmored skill isn't integrated in the new levelling system.
    • To come a bit closer to the Oblivion XP (OXP) levelling system it is advisable to use the following console command:
      set LPUSfEGlSkillUseIncrement to 0

      It deactivates training through simple being-hit; training with trainers is still possible.


I plan to create some compatibility based (optional) adjustment to the plugins mentioned above (DarkUI'd DarN, nGCD & OXP). When they are created depends on how much time I have and how much time is required to create these adjustments.


But none of these should/is known to cause CTDs.





As far as I can tell, this has nothing to do with a incompatibility, but with too many mods.
Load Order shouldn't matter.
I'm trying to create a workaround for this, but it might require to disable the NPC component of the Mod completely. :(




Oh, by the way: As mentioned one post above yours, http://www.4shared.com/file/80035726/2c7bc210/Unarmored_Skill_for_Everyone.html is already out.
I highly recommend an Update, because of a stupid math mistake I made.

forgot to mention but it also when activated if it didn't ctd when intiating combat (which it often didn't if there was only 1-3 enemies) that on death of one of them it would crash. May be a lot of mods but it certainly is not too many - and without unarmored skill (which one of my chars really wants) it is very stable - even exiting 50% with no crash, but I get your point that it is just too much data once that script is added in.
what about increasing the interval the script is run at? I also noticed a slight slowdown in menumode.

Also I'd suggest having a variable that if == 1 makes all of the notices (unarmored penalized... not penalized) not display.
Looking forward to a workaround/fix.

It certainly has sth. to do with running too many mods, because the CTDs doesn't appear with just a Vanilla-Game.


Putting in a Variable to disable the Messages shouldn't be a problem.



Update Time:
Try this console command
set LPUSfEGlDelayTime to X

with X being the Time between two updates in seconds.

Recently I installed the CM partners mod, and made myself several custom companions however whenever I would try to fast travel the game would crash. After much swearing and the like I found that when I turned this mod off the problem would stop....
I was wondering anyone else had this problem, or know of a way around it at all cause I really love the unarmored skill ;_;

Update to Version 2.3.0:
  • If the defense bonus was penalized because of too much weight, but not longer affected bye wearing some pieces of armor the wrong messages has been displayed.
  • Some little Tweaks in Sukchuk Dirr`tur's concealment
  • Fixed a Bug which disabled Training in the english Version.
  • Implemented the possibility to disable the Messages informing about a penalized defense bonus:
    set LPUSfEGlShowMessages to 0

  • Implemented the possibility to disable the NPC-Component of this Plugin:
    set LPUSFEGlEnableNPC to 0

  • Created compatibility to DarkUI'd DarN (hopefully).

Don't know, I'm not that familiar with KCAS.
I guess it'll be the same as with nGCD: won't be integrated in the new Level System, but doesn't produce any problems.

I hoped to get some more stuff done (mainly the Trainer-Stuff), but I currently I'm not motivated enough. ;)

I got an issue. After I installed Rane Balancing Project, and started a new game. I typed "set lpusfeglenablenpc to 0" in the console to avoid conflict with FCOM, but it crashes after I close the console. It happens after I download RBP so I suspect that its the cause. I haven't try the new version yet, but I'm going to check if it still crash. Otherwise has anyone experience this problem before?
