Hi,

I just noticed that someone had uploaded my mod Map Marker Overhaul (and probably a lot of other mods) without permission, to http://www.strategyinformer.com/pc/theelderscrollsivoblivion/downloads.html. One thing is that no permission is asked, and another that I don't like old versions of my mod floating around. And I guess the authors of COBL, The Ayleid Steps etc. feel the same.

I have contacted them and asked them to remove my mod, and also informed that I think many of the other mods are uploaded without permission.


Edit: My mod was swiftly removed, with an apologize, so kudos to the moderators. But I suggest creators of:
Cobl
The Ayleid Steps
MiniMap - HUD Element
Vacuity
Toggleable Quantity Prompt
Bartholm
Windfall
...and others, contact them too unless you want (old) versions being there.

Thanks for the heads up. While my permissions allow acts like this, they do state that I would prefer being contacted first....meh.

On the other hand, I don't plan any updates to TQP and they have the latest version (verified by CRCs), so I personally don't mind (too much). Now, if they had stripped the readme and author credits... bliviongate:

Well it was back at the start of January that they were asked to remove all the Unique Landscapes mods which had been uploaded without authorisation, and they still haven't done so, even after promising that they would on February 13th.

I did see one I hadn't heard of before though - Chronicles of Reeb. Going to have a look at that one.

I've reported All Natural. Doubt it will do anything, but I might as well try. :shrug:

Oh, and look. Enhanced Weather is also up there. Sigh.

Not really we can keep on reporting them, but, has along has people keep on uploading them there is nothing we can really do about that to stop them once again.
