Unavoidable Evil?

As time goes by I'm feeling more and more like the only way to complete Dragonborn is to do evil deeds and to gain evil spells. I feel like my good guy character is being railroaded into turning to the daedra. Is there no other way to defeat Miraak other than to becoming a daedra pawn? Dawnguard was pretty easy in this respect. All you had to do is to be a good guy or a bad guy. However, Dragonborn doesn't seem to give you a choice. It's either turn to the daedra or you lose.

THat is the ENTIRE point of the story. no matter how much good you do, no matter how good your character is, no matter how much you try, Hermaeus Mora WINS and that it is not always possible to avoid people dieing.

Not to mention that, by the time you reach the end of the game, you've invariably killed at least half of Skyrim's population single-handedly.

I don't see it as being Herma Moras pawn, I see it more as the enemy of my enemy is my friend thing....we're not destined to follow in Miraaks footsteps, he was weak willed and easily corrupted by the promise of power. After the deed is done I never read another Black Book so Herma Mora can never have any power over me, I care not for his tricks and treats.

Skyrim just has too much of this stuff in the quests. There's also that Namira quest (or whichever daedric prince it was) which starts in the Markath crypts. I've never finished that quest line because I haven't played an evil type character. The one time I tried it I ended up killing the vampire after a while, only to discover that there is no real divergent path to take.
