Hi,

I want to reset the 1-8 bounded keys. I deleted the custom_contorl.txt file - didn't help, tried pressing all kinds of keys, re-press the bounded keys - nothing helps. I don't want to bound them in a different way - I want to make them unbound.

I have un-favourite everything, assuming it will delete the bound - still didn't help.

reset controls from the menu - didn't help.

I can't find the controlmap.txt file anywhere on my computer ... is this the solution ?

Put your favorited items in a container and take them back afterwards, or, simply reassign the keys. Once a key is assigned to a sword, for example, you can still assign it to a spell.

again, I don't want to re-assign the keys, I want them not assigned. The rational behind this by the way, in case you've wondered (and I'm sure you did ) is that I want to use the extra hot keys mod to map them. And the reason for that is that this mod allows me to use 1-8 + modifiers. so I need to disable the skyrim internal assignment fot the 1-8 and enable it through this mod.

so I was thinking for example to use say key 2 for novice fire spell, right alt + 2 for the apprentice fire spell and left alt + 2 for the expert fire spell. Just an example. so I need the mod to control the 1-8 , not Skyrim itself.

I will try do what you've said, I'll assign all the keys to items (and not spells, as I can't put those in a container ...) and then put them in a container like you've suggested. will let you know
