Unconventional Player Housing

It gets a bit dull, living in Novac or the 38 game after game, so I decided to change. I've recently moved into a vault (the one with the Powder Gangers in, I'd appreciate it if someone reminded me of the number), and then on to the Scavenger Platform. Any suggestions?

Lately I've taken to roaming around with a bedroll and ED-E. You get plenty of carry weight, and a mobile workbench/ammo bench.

Otherwise I use the abandoned BOS bunker, which has the Vending Machine and lots of storage.

Vault 19 is the one with the Powder Gangers.

Thanks to mods, I get to really live in a Yurt at Red Rock Canyon. Oh, and I also have a drug trailer near the 188.

I've used the Abandoned BoS Bunker before, also Brooks Tumbleweed Ranch, but I'm currently using the Zion Ranger Station, with a library/museum at the Zion General Store next door. Seriously you should see how many pre war books I have in there. One of my favourite places was actually Benny's Suite at the Tops, after I killed him. Handy for the Strip, storage, a secret workshop and secret area.

Just a thought - is it possible to take out the Legion at Cottonwood Cove and live there? It's such a lovely spot on the beach. Would the Legion respawn?

Once I set up a bedroll in the quarry outside Goodsprings without killing the deathclaws.

I checked out Cottonwood Cove. Killed all the Legion there, let over a week pass in time, and came back.

The named characters, such as Canyon Runner and Aurelius, were still laying where they fell, but all the other bodies had disappeared.

No other Legion members spawned.

So I would say it would be safe, except for the occasional scout who might come walking in from patrol.

The gas station in Goodsprings is pretty sweet, mostly if it has a bed, couple storage containers i am good with it. Any place that does not have 2 loading screens to get to where you live (38 im looking at you!)

David how do you stop the chairmen from wandering into Benny's room at the Tops? you cannot keep then from wandering the rooms, especially after you unlock all those doors. I would not want them stealing food, weapons etc......

Weirdly, they never came in when I was in there, maybe their script's not set to do it, so they only go in the other room you can win through gambling. When I went out, I locked it through the console, as Benny had helpfully given me the key. It's a great little room though, the Presidential Suite just felt too big for me.

I've honestly never lived anywhere but the 38 or the Tops.

Too busy out killing things. :D
