Hi all,

I observed something peculiar. My character's horse died during an unfortunate encounter with a horde of goblins. After some grieving, my character moved on. More than a week later in-game, she revisited the place where the horse had died, only to find it kicking and alive! I am positive that it is the same horse, because I had renamed it via the console and the name was identical. I did not use the console to resurrect it. It doesn't appear in my 'horses owned' statistic, but I can still mount it without 'stealing' it.

Now, my character is rather horrified because she clearly remembers the little funeral ceremony she did for the animal, and I am baffled because this has not happened to me before (mostly because my other characters never lost their horses). Maybe someone can explain? Do horses respawn in the location where they die?? Is this a bug? Did this happen because I changed the horse's name?

I hope someone can help. I know this is a really minor issue, but I'd just like to know what caused this, well, challenge for my role-playing

I was gonna ask: PC or consoles, but since you used a command, that answers my question.

I'm on consoles myself (PS3 and Xbox) so I haven't got a clue. Someone else should be able to come up with something, though.

Do you use any mods?

Was the horse a stolen one to begin with?
