Fort Akatosh Redux has been updated to V.1.4.3

Changelog :

removed ownership flags from the cobl water barrels ...they can be used now without being an imperial soldier

placed cobl water barrels in the player owned private quarters

note ! the cobl water barrels won't work without a cobl compatible "thirst" mod

remade/fixed the "join the imperial cult" quest script..quest should now work as intended

set the dead rat (join the trading company quest) to persistent, so that it will not disappear anymore after 3 days

tweaked the Renrijra Krin bandits so that they will all attack now properly if you decide to fight for the Elsweyr tower during the "duty calls" quest

disabled all Skyrim maurauders and soldiers at the Skyrim tower as long as the watch tower quest hasn't been started

Thanks for the update! I somehow failed to flag this thread for Watching so am only now seeing the notice. Thanks also for the bug-reporting credit, especially as my input was full of typos and miswordings and thus hard to decipher.

Re-reading the mod's NEXUS description tab reminded me that it needs a special Landscape-LOD to look its best. I had included it with my old OMOD version of FAR, but find my current FAR BAIN-package lacks it! I'll take care of that while updating to the new ESP.

Should I assume that the missing rat will now be in place, or do those of us with already-missing-rats need to do something special to restore it?

I gotta make me a new Oblivion clone with the new regions and start exploring.

for the dead rat...honestly I am not sure about how the game will handle this :whistling:

Fort Akatosh Redux will get a second version in the near future starting with V.1.5 ...these new version(s) will require Obse (mainly atm for making it compatible/working with Oblivion XP Update) and the Tamriel heightmaps files ( for new quests and locations in the new provinces)....V.1.4.3 will still be avaible and fixed if necessary but will not be updated with new content anymore....

I noticed you removed the New Roads & Bridges patch from the Nexus page. Is the patch no longer required as of 1.4.3?

Trading Company update:

Installed the new update this morning, then got called in to work. Didn't get a chance to visit the fort until just a few minutes ago. Alas, the missing rat remains missing. I saved the game atop the Naval Station tower and exited.

Launched TES4edit and loaded FAR. Navigated to the quest section and found that the quest is called FortAkatoshReduxJointheTradingCompany. Noted that its stages are 10, 15, and 20. Exited TES4edit. Launched Oblivion. Loaded my save. Brought up the console and used "getstage". Found that I was at stage 10. Used "setstage" to advance to 15. That got me an update saying that I had delivered Musk to its intended recipient. I exited the tower and found the quest-giver. Talking with him officially completed the quest.

Was what I did safe? I never actually got the Musk, went to IC, or physically gave it to anyone. Nor did I, to my knowledge, receive any sort of trading faction identifier equal to the FAR legion ring.

yeah that's what I expected....savegames where the dead rat has disappeared already will not benefit from the update...

for the quest.... it would have been easier to simply unlock the cargo hold door by using the console ...

Luckily, I stopped playing last night immediately after completing the quest so can delete that save and use the console unlock command. (Will have to look it up.) I prefer to not take shortcuts, so that's a better solution for me.

Open console, click on door, type "unlock" and press Return, close console.
