Under the sign of the dragon -Tamriel Landscapes-

The work being done here is excellent. Congratulations Onra! your prokect is really kicking off... And StarX, your work is really impressive!
However, if you introduce a claims system or something so that people can start making cities across your landscapes (which would be awesome), you may want to let people know that making the city of Arenthia is quite possibly not necessary as Giskard and the Dragon Captions team both have the city of Arenthia near its actual location in the Tamriel Worldspace in their The Elder Council mods. Whatsmore the quality of that city is really refined, both in lore and design, so I guess I'm saying that it would be a waste of time and skill for people to go off and make Arenthia...

Good news.

By the way, I've updated my map to include the Hammerfell/High Rock/Skyrim heightmap section. It's a big dds now, 7240x6428 pixels. Just missing Morrowind now... :whistling:

cool maybe you can join forces with Kiwi_Hawk when all parts are finished :-)

thx Blue Chilli :-)

I will open a new thread to get things a bit more organized...
for Arenthia ...as the Author of The Elder Council does not want people posting about his work here and on Nexus forums and he also does not want people post links to his page from here or Nexus, it doesn't make really sense to include Tec or his other mods in a thread here on beth forums....I fear this would cause only trouble...

I have no doubt that the version you mentioned of Arenthia looks amazing. But there is ofcourse a problem here: it only comes with The Elder Council mod which I (and lots of others) don't need or want. :)

EDIT: Ninja-ed by Onra! :ninja:

Sorry, not sure how everyone feels about these other teams, but this kind of relevant...

The version of The Elder Council on Nexus (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22595) and Sutch by the same team, use a resource pack very similar to yours (as these all came down from the same guy as I understand things). Wouldn't it be easier to integrate with them so that people who like using those mods don't have to stop to use these ones instead?

Also, there is this team doing province work: http://www.silgrad.com/wbb2/board.php?boardid=59&sid=aac07202038475ccdcf6b6b80aa4c77f

Maybe they could integrate their work with these heightmaps.

Please don't execute me if Dragon Captions Team and Silgrad Tower Team... wouldn't play well with the Under the Sign of the Dragon Team. I just kind of hope that it can all work out somehow, I just thought that since there was so much crossover, you could offer each other a lot of support.

Modman-

The resource packs are similar because Onra and Firesparks broke off from Dragon Captions ... I think Onra is working on a mod to replace the functionality of the Elder Council mod. Giving us that kind of questing without all the drama.

Silgrad tower and many other incomplete province mods were part of the motivation for doing the heightmaps - because after 4 years very little has been publicly released. The philosophy is to provide the land for anyone to mod now rather than 'just wait half a decade and maybe we will release a complete province with all components done.

Onra-

thanks for the updates in other threads.
