Under the Stairs

I was making a mod and for a basemant i put some stairs in and when i put the side part underneath the stairs in there was a roof part sticking up through the stairs id really like to know is there a floor with no roof attached you can use. I really need help with this thanks!!

Which tileset are you using?

When in doubt, check and see how Bethesda designed a similar room.

IIRC, most of the Bethesda tilesets had stair chunks closed off, specifically to avoid this. I don't know where you got freestanding steps, but that might be the issue. Does the tileset have a stair piece available that you can use (instead of stairs and a wall piece)?

I'm using plain tileset for the stairs and wall but actually a good idea might be too not use a wall under the stairs!! Thestairs werent used much and theres no good examples!! Thanks for your help!!

If you're having trouble finding an example of how a mesh is used, try CTRL-F then just type in its ID. (search and replace is useful as well, for other purposes).

If you are using the common Imperial set, I may be able to help. I like open architecture, so I ripped those meshes apart to make a whole variety of things - including open stairs.

It's hard to tell, but this entire keep is done with modified imperial pieces.
