Character sheet:
Name: Lucas Scottsdale

Nationality: American (Caucasian)

Appearance:
Years of lone wandering in the Wastelands under brutal conditions has made Lucas’ exterior as hard as the Earth’s crust. His skin is rough and frequently scarred, and his shoulder-long hair is coarse. Still, he is not an ugly man – in fact he’s quite handsome, if you don’t mind the ruggedness.
Lucas normally doesn’t have much time for cosmetics, so his face is varying degrees of beard (depending on how long he’s been out in the Wastes). His hair used to be nut brown, but now has some sinister gray stripes in it. Behind his Aviator sunglasses hide deep emerald green eyes.
He’s not very tall – let’s say about normal height – but has a compact, muscular build.

Personality:
In his early years, Lucas spent most of his time wandering alone in the Wastes, only coming back to his home settlement to restock and have some minimal rest every other week at most. This has made him very self-reliant and he does not look to other people for help. Strangers seldom see anything but his tough exterior and he doesn’t encourage friendliness.
Still, during his training to become a commando and the squad-based fighting of the NCR’s campaigns, he has seen the value of co-operation. He obeys direct orders impeccably and carries them out as given as long as it serves the goal of the mission, though if he sees alternative ways of solving tasks, and thinks his own way is better, he will divert from the orders given. The results this method provides has kept his superiors from complaining.
After a long military career, Lucas no longer has any qualms at all about killing. He will do it without flinching, even to opponents who haven’t had a chance to defend themselves. "Chivalry", he claims, "is for people who are either dumb, arrogant or don't value their lives highly enough."
His favorite weapon is his .50 anti-materiel rifle. As he puts it: “This beauty can blow your head straight off with one shot – and that’s with standard ammunition. Of course I use explosive and incendiary tips. I don’t consider it overkill – I consider it doing my job properly. Besides, it’s the only decent thing to go super mutant hunting with.”
Bio:
Lucas was born into the Desert Ranger Faction in California in 2254. He was taught both fighting and survival skills by family members there. From the age of 18, he spent most of his time alone, exploring the Wastelands, hunting mutants and beasts. When his faction was brought into the NCR in 2271, the NCR Rangers tried to recruit him – but he was reluctant and didn’t join before he was 20 – in 2274.
Because of his merit as a survivalist and sniper, he quickly rose in the ranks.
For his services in the New Vegas Campaign that started in 2281, he was promoted to Captain. By this time he had underwent arduous training to become a high-class Commando, which would be his role up to present day. He has led several successful covert operations in recent years, and is a living legend among marksmen all along the West Coast and surrounding areas. He doesn't feed the rumors about himself, and very rarely lets people know that he is the man in that legend. Rather, he prefers going under code names - such as "Echo" for this mission.
