Underdog mods

Post » Sun Mar 13, 2011 4:52 am

hmm lets see

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9546
http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1017204

its unique normal weapon textures, which makes almost every vanilla gun have unique textures ( those finished that is ) zableblaze put a lot of work into this and its a great mod :foodndrink: yet less than 96 downloads on nexus, and no one mentions it

prime underdog

I was waiting for this actually, but I thought it wasn't finished yet. How far along is the available alpha?

edit: Nevermind the statement I just removed, I'm an idiot.

I like http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3123

It reskins the Enclave armors to look more like 50's military aircraft and gives them more of a US logo. It also reflects that their equipment is pristine and freshly produced compared to the older and worn BoS and Outcast sets.

It's awesome, it's got 4 endorsemants and 500 odd downloads, and it's compatible with FWE because it only edits PA FormLists and not the actual PA.

I just added a couple new ones to my game and I'm really liking them so far:

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4017 - if the designated gift-givers are going to annoy me they can at least cough up better stuff! ;)
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5814 - adds more flavors of Nuka Cola

My own http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9418 seems to have slipped under the radar. Probably because it's only a minor addition to the game. But a well executed and immersive one, if I may say so myself! :P

I've been meaning to download this, and try it out. No time like the present!

How about a few of my own shameless plugs.

Caravan Tracking (possibly integrated into something) - http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5829
GPS Tracking - http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6045
Longer Days & Shorter Nights - http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5847
Menu Based Hacking & Picking (integrated into FWE) - http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2442

Rivet City Realingment - http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5831

Brilliant!! :) Arabian Knight and I were complaining that it seemed that no one at Beth had actually ever taken the time to figure that one out -or visit a real carrier

My contribution isn't really an underdog at 5K DL and almost 70 endorsments but I really, really like http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5277.

Others in my load order are http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=788 and Better Fire.

Nexus is so not working for me all of a sudden. What are they doing over there? Keep getting an IPS Driver Error, whatever that means

Hmmm, Less Useless Karma Gifts may be just what I need. I deliberately murdered that girl due to her terrible 'gifts,' not to mention the force-greeting. A pet hate in any game.

Built for the Future - http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5217

IMO, THE BEST player home/command center out there! (I feel it should be in the top 100.)

I have been adding some needed updates and a lot of new features to cdaggers original mod. I hope to release it soon, if not sometime this week.

http://ypdesign.com/fo3/daggerhead/index.htm - Please let me know what you think of it.

Ive always liked the http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5507 mod. It adds a massive tower (almost a town) to the northeast (north of canturbury commons).

The sheer amount of work and architectual genius that went into this mod should be commended. check it out @ http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5507

Its easily the tallest structure in the wastes. even dwarfing the washington monument.

Speaking of sneaking, I also have http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8050.
It's great if you're a sneaky sniper :)

Thanks ghouls, that Nuka Cola mod looks and sounds like something that should be in my load order :hehe:

I have found a serious underdog GEM of a mod for Dogmeat.

PLEASE go download, use, and rate this mod.

I know the list of files can be a little bewildering, but basically the TOP LEFT file is the main file, and the others are all just options for graphics and compatibility with other companion mods.

Its by http://www.fallout3nexus.com/modules/members/index.php?id=983499 (spelling?) and I'm extremely impressed with it.

It deserves dozens of endorsemants and a billion more downloads :D

I love threads like this, some of the gems that otherwise would be missed can be broadcast in a single topic.

I have two contributions to make.
My http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8876 mod, which is still undergoing major revisions. I'm working to add multiple portable containers instead of just a single one.
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7115, a bare bones minimalist player house. I am working on the final version currently, I should have it finished by the end of the month.

A couple more mods I fould along the way :

- http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8416

Surprisingly not very popular (at least on Nexus). These mods are two attempts at protecting you from the onslaught of random DLC quests when you are starting a new character. Instead, they either reduce the range of the signals used to trigger quests or change the trigger of quests altogether to make them fit in the storyline.

- http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4246

These two add a lot of background noises to the wasteland - distant screams, gunshot and explosions .... you will feel the tension every time you walk out there.

Keep them coming...

Rivet City Realingment - http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5831

Cool. I remember someone complaining about the layout of the ship, once, but didn't think anyone did anything about it.
I was in the stairwell, waiting to ambush an NPC, last night and was thinking how screwy the interior was and wondered if anyone had done anything about it, yet.
I'll certainly be grabbing that one :)

I assume the NPC's like the new layout. It doesn't bugger up their wanderings, or anything?
All changes have been navmeshed (except the new aft hanagar) so it should play well with companions.

But what if the companion is one of the NPC's in the hangar? *Points to sig*
I guess we'll find out :)

Heheh ... I know it has "dog" in it, but at over 4000 downloads, it's not much of an underdog! :hehe:

It's very beautiful, MadCat. I just haven't made a character yet that uses swords - but when I make my requisite ninja character, I'll definitely use your mod. :tops:

The Delay/Refurbish mods look great. I guess I'll be holding out for the Achievements-friendly versions, but it's an excellent idea.

Isn't there supposed to be a rule about not plugging your own stuff? There should be IMO. Anyhow.....

I rather like this relative unknown http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7319. It adds sound to many of the generators throughout the game.
