I can't figure out where I need to go to do this quest to get the key. I'm new to Fallout 3 and haven't discovered a lot of the map yet, but I have tried to go north from the hideout like the note said to uncover any clues, but without any luck. I would appreciate it if someone could point me to where I need to go. I did find a link to youtube that was suppose to be a walkthrough but it has been removed. I have search google with no luck. I spent almost 5 hours looking yesterday.

There are map markers for each location. Use your pip boy to find them after you have the quest selected. While you should not be in any areas that you can't handle at a low level, the quest does take you up near the Germantown Police HQ, and as such, you may see some Super Mutants up there.
