underpowered weapons in FO

I don't know why but almost all my characters in all three fallouts (who aren't melee or unarmed) use the underpowered weapons in fallout. They just feel cooler. Small arms with the .223 pistol, or combat shotgun feels business like to me. The desert eagle and .44 get honourable mentions.

I hope V13 has some low power, high cool weapons to appease me.

What are other people's weapons of choice?

I don't think the .223 pistol is an underpowered weapon. It's one of the best weapons in the small arms category along the sniper rifle and the Gauss weapons.

I usually keep the magnum revolver for close range combat and the (scopped) hunting rifle for long range. But I love the design of the 10mm pistol and SMG. I allways felt that the lifespan of that weapons is very short, for you encounter better weapons in a few random encounters (in FO2). I'd like to see more weapons of that kind of look rather than real weapon designs.

I like how hard I had to work for that damn 10mm pistol in FO2 only to have it superceded within minutes. It was truly the opposite of FO1. The first several levels saw me shooting rads and raiders with that thing.

Bridgekeeper's Robes + .223 Pistol + Spiked Knuckles. Everytime. All the way through.

Eyes (blinded), Leg (cripple and falls down), Groin (Good night, Gracie). End turn.
