Do I harvest or do I need to wait the vegetables to be placed in my workshop?

If I harvest, that plant is gone or will still produce? I noticed that after I harvest some mutfruit, I cant select the plant within the build mode...so my guess is that harvesting yourself kills the plant.

I want to start my adhesive farm, so I need "three pieces of corn, three pieces of mutfruit and three pieces of tato". How many of each of those plants I need to have a steady flow of producion? Does the suply line bring fruits from one setlement to another?

I'm still a noob myself but I'm sure harvesting the plant doesn't kill it, I've harvested a few plants regularly.

I'm a bit confuse about this too.

This is what I have been doing.

1. Made sure there is enough water.

2. Planted the crop

3. Assigned settlers to tend the crop

4. I come back and find that a ton of crops are ready for harvest but they don't get harvested until I do it... but they are shown as "Assigned a settler" (ie a green man icon).

5. When I harvest I hear myself say "I need to assign someone to do this" yet I already have.

I think either there is a glitch going on or I have done something wrong. I AM getting enough crops for my adhesive system but I end up harvesting the crops myself. Am I just being impatient maybe?

Edit: Oh and OP, the plant keeps on producing...

Check out your Workbench - you'll see harvested crops automatically turn up in there.

I also harvest myself when in the mood for extras.

Everything just shows up in the work bench...

But if you happen to need more than whats at the bench just go pick it yourself.

For the most part stuff spawns at the bench like every day or two.

If your lazy like me just take a nap at one of the beds and then check the workbench haha.

How about the supply line? If I have mutfruit only in one setlement, they will show in my workbench everywhere? (I have the local leader perk and suply lines to every setlement)
