Underwater Exploration

Has anyone found any cool stuff underwater, I mean it's a pretty big area that they've left out to water, I know it is Boston, but has anyone found any cool vaults or caves as such, would love to know what you guys/gals have found!

I've found nothing. Absolutely nothing. I even picked up the Aquaman perk, and have spent a lot of time down at the bottom, especially in the area around Libertalia.

Maybe a few boxes, or some kale, but nothing valuable or collectible.

Kremvh's Tooth, a unique machete, can be found underwater at Dunwich Borers. Comes with Poison and Bleed damage, so if you're a melee fighter then it's the bomb.

Thanks for reminding me. I have to head back there now that I have that underwater perk.

I found some treasure but nothing excited.

This is something I was sure would be extensive.. By this I mean huge underwater caves and labyrinths.

I found lots of rubble.

I mainly got the perk so I could swim at my leisure without getting irradiated to death.

I have found power armor and some ok guns, but no caves. Im sure there is something down there, the new perk was not kust so you can go for a swim. There is something down there. Game is still young, things will be found. But also that perk is awsome for running away from stronger enemies early on in the game, and it saves time. Go threw instead of around

There is a harpoon in the code of the game, it's just not collectable. Could be a possible scenario for some DLC ;)

Same with most of the guys above, found Power Armor in the lake near the covenant... a crash partially submerged vertibird or something. the armor is right next to it. No helmet on the one I found.

Found plenty of sunk boats with nothing in them. most of the time its too murky to see.

After jumping from what I took as an Assassin's Creed reference in LIbertalia, I wnt for a dive in that area. Due to a strange viasual glitch, probably caused by an interaction between the depth fog and the nightvision perk, that allowed me to see further, I saw a strange rock formation and swam closer. I found some sort of underwater insutrial area, with giant pipes. I followed the pipes, came across some submerged cars and sunken ships. After some forks in the pipe, I reached another sunken ship, and on that ship: nothing at all.

No I wonder...why put that stuff down there, where nobody will ever find it, hadn't it been for that glitch, and then put absolutely nothing there to find? (or maybe I was blind, and there is actually something to find there)

I swam all over looking for those damn radolphins and I just found some random junk here and there. I am hoping that they are going to add more stuff later on because other wise that is a complete waste of a perk.

I found that generic dead radolphin near the centeral eastern edge of the map. The sea floor is landscaped very well. There's huge canyons, drops, seaweed, the occassional sunken ship and I even found what looked like some sort of under water pump station. But aside from just looking at some of the stuff (some of which you can barely see unless you get to a depth that creates a visibility bug in the game) there isn't much to do under water.

I was expecting to find one under water city. With that much water on the map? comon!

The stuff you saw might aswell be a part of some location outside of commonwealth. You know, when you open the doors the game teleports you to another place on map, but for you it is seamless. Some of the locations are put under the map, so they won't have to load up when you enter them.

You can get the knife at Dunwich without the perk. If you start hurting for some reason you can take a stimpack and/or radaway.

There's a sunken ship with pictures of cats on the ceiling, the ship is off the shore of the castle under some muddy debris.

Most bethesda games use cells, they have 2 categories, interior cells and exterior cells, the Commonwealth is made up of hundreds of exterior cells (Maybe the pre-war tutorial area is too) Everything else is an interior.

Well, modders are going to have a lot to do with the underwater areas. Can't believe Bethesda made 1/4 of the map water, put in Aqua perks, and didn't put anything significant under there. :nope:
