No, it affects all races. I use it myself. It's a really nice mod because there are a bunch of great clothing/armor mods out there that go off of/require this mod, so yeah.

Well I doubt they have Ye Olde Calvin Klein shops in Market Districts or whatever, so I think what underwear they had in OB was fine, more or less.

No, I recognized them for what they were too. People here seem to only be familiar with modern clothing styles so that's what they want.

Morrowind had really hideous underwear but I was pleasantly surprised with Oblivion. The male version could have been a little better and I wouldn't have picked that particular color, but overall I was quite happy with the choice.

I beat someone heard m'aiq say that then killed him and striped him of wear. Also it seems soon people forget that not everyone can mod like consle users (looking at You swarly)
Anywy, I reckon it should kinda be like a extra layering in that you whould have a choice on wearing different under garments.

That's not the case entirely. The problem is the game base is full of male gamers, and most males for whatever reason don't "want" to see other guys naked, and while 60% of that population wouldn't mind seeing females naked it would cause a big firestorm for bethesda as a company..

Nobody is saying boxers. In Morrowind they managed to pull of medieval speedo's XD In daggerfall you were butt naked, but it didn't mean it was sixual. Just realistic. Some people from times such as those wouldn't have worn underwear. In many medieval times underwear was often a luxury on;y afforded by the highest social classes, besides the odd sack over the bits.

Or just only install the male files.

Thing is that most of the time character is dressed/armored. And some plays this game from 1st person view, so I don't find this explanation valid

While I admit that there are guys who for some strange reasons usually play as female characters, I think those are minority amongst male gamer population.

You wouldn't be the only male in the game, if you killed a male enemy and took "everything" then you'd have a naked male outside of 1st person. Also if there were a scene where a character is supposed to be "naked" (but isn't really) then that person would be. That is what someone would expect, not just the main character being able to be naked, but every character in the game.

You'd be surprised just how many of us primarily play as females. I personally can't get into it as I can't relate to playing a female, but there were polls that indicated a good chunk of guys who play as female characters.

Unnecessary controversy for Bethesda. It's best to leave it to mods.

For me this is less of an issue about the gaming community and more of an issue with society in general. People sixualize the human body so much that it becomes taboo to show it even in appropriate situations. I feel like people should get over themselves if they can't handle seeing a nvde body.

I agree, an option would be the best thing....I hope that there will be choices such as "male only" "female only" and "universal nudity" they could call them something else of course, but I think being straightforward is best, I mean this is supposed to be a rated M game (and I don't think having nudity should make it rated "A", if there was six then ya) and being rated M that means Kids aren't allowed to buy it, so if an underage perv gets it because he/she begs their parents and the parent doesn't look into it, then they shouldn't blame the game or makers of the game.

It'd be cool if you could buy different types of underwear in stores, and equip them just like you would armour.

I would personally like to see better underwear as well. Loincloths (if you google them at least) cover the crotch and butt, but usually leave at least bare skin at the very side of the hips, to leave room for activities that involve your legs and changing your body's position. The underwear from Oblivion looked much more akin to diapers to me. I'd rather they wear something like ol' Fabio is modeling http://forladiesbyladies.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/fabio_loincloth_autograph.jpg or even something like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fundoshi would be interesting to see (though I can see many guys disagreeing with me).

As for women, briast bindings anyone? I feel like that must have been a more common underwear than bras (considering they're relatively modern) other than going completely without any support up there.
